Fit Vs. TSX?
the tsx may be an underpowered car...but then again, most honda's are torque challenged to begin with.
even in an auto though, the tsx is spry, more so than our fits.
but no one gets us 0-15. we are unstoppable.;)

or maybe...ummm....how you say....ahhh yes "AUTO-X" :)
I've driven a TSX before, theyre def not race cars...but to say the least, a fit wouldnt be able to keep up with a TSX, not trying to shoot you down, the guy was messing with you, ive driven a TSX and I could tell you by 3rd gear the fit would be smoked badly
I've been in three interested incidents so far with my car. Once an Audi TT wanted to race me. I just went to the right lane, he zoomed, got caught in traffic because he couldn't weave at fast speed, and I just came strolling in the right lane then exited while passing him. Then there was a stupid Mustang driver who was in front of me in front of a stop light. Mustang just sat there for 2 min revving his engine for no reason, then he put it on reverse, revving at me again. Lol, the funny thing is I kept honking and a cop saw him as I watched him rev away his tranny. I was like "Sure, can you say the word 'Impounded'" Lol, it was great to see a bunch of cop coming after him afterwards. The 3rd was a mercedes on the freeway who wanted to acting like he was cool just because he can go 100+ mph. But when he got to a curve, with traffic, he was afraid to change lanes or something. I caught up with him just going slow, and then took my exit.
Just to say, I had a TSX several times as a loaner when my RSX-S was in for service, and I like driving the Fit a whole lot more than I liked the TSX. I was always very glad to get back into my car and give the TSX back. And, surprisingly to me, I actually enjoy driving the Fit around town more than I did the RSX-S.
i have yet to meet a car that can beat me down the canyon road near my house. its so perfect. one way, windy as hell, no houses or people or cops. sorry but it kinda bugs me when people drag race hondas. i mean everyone does their own thing and everyone likes different things but i just dont think hondas were made for that. they were made for tight cornering and endurance. if i wanted to go fast in a straight line, i would have bought my dads z06 off of him.

That mustang story isss PRICELESS!! id love to see that and get it on camera or something. man... yeah its funny when people drive all fast weaving and you just end up catchign them goign the same steady speed....

I hesitate to generalize too much about any sort of human behavior, but I would guess that a lot of the same people that enjoy taking a small engined car and forcing it to put out a speedy 0-60 have too short of an attention span to listen to any explanation about racing smaller Hondas.
A lot of people just don't get endurance, or taking a different route, or whatever. They think if they are going faster than you, even for a moment, they are "winning." Winning at life, somehow, I think. It always seems weird to me. I am reminded of my sailing days. I had a 12 meter bluewater sloop that did about 5 knots at most efficient cruise speed on engine, which I would be quite a bit on the ICW. Many times I was passed by a group of college-age people (about the same age as me at the time) and people would yell to the boat about how SLOW we were. I remember a couple of times, fools pantomiming running-in-place to indicate how much faster their boat was. I mean, what? You're on a runabout or a fishing boat, with 400 or more horsepower on board, designed to burn as much gas as it takes to go a short distance as quickly as possible. So yeah, your boat does was it was designed for. But I wouldn't want to be on it for a long-distance cruise (the engine noise and diesel fumes are pretty unpleasant, in my view) or in the sort of rough seas you will encounter if you do distance on a boat.
Whatever that mindset is, I just don't get it. In town, I get places about as quickly as most anyone - because we are all limited by traffic and signals - and I leave enough time to get where I'm going. I can't stand when people weave, risking everyone's safety for their own thrills. I am extremely pleased with the Fit's performance, gas mileage, comfort, visibility (window placement is very good), style, and handling.

i agree with you about ppl serious about draging the fit... for the record i was just screwing around... not expecting to win... and not trying all out... but on the note of what we CAN beat... suzuki aero is on it... but then again its a suzuki....lol
I didn't mean any offense to you, Firebat. I hope it didn't sound like that. I just meant...well, drivers in Jacksonville are particularly bad. I really don't like driving here. But I meant was, people that think they are somehow amazing by beating a Fit in a drag, particularly an "imagined drag." Yesterday I had a Scion tB, tC, the boxy one, whichever that is, push their engine very hard to accelerate from a stop light onto the freeway much faster than me...which was cool by me - I had no idea they wanted to drag, and wouldn't have if I could tell.
lol its all good dude, i do find it annoying that every kid in a riced out POS civic wants to race... i know they will win and i know my car is not a drag machine...BUTTTTTT! if they want to race a curvy back road... by all means ill take them on... and show them what the Fit is built for lol

I think red/green light right foot firewall is mostly for fun,
some are seriously an A$$ some just like the adrenalin some
just love the sound or feeling regardless of vehicle type...
Even just the general passion they have for psuedo racing.
Some even just like to be more spirited in the everyday driving efforts.
....gazzillions of reasons.... some (warning - stating the obvious alert)
are simply just immature...
Many people dont even get why we care at all about our point A-B vehicles and probably scoff that there is a forum for us...
ahhh it would be nice to go sailing though....:)
I have never done it...must be wonderful...
I would probably
though...:(
