Hey all,

Well, after a few weeks of car hunting, I finally decided on a car last night.

I ended up with a 2009 Toyota Corolla S with moonroof package. I got a really good deal through the dealership, and they threw in some extras that Honda were not willing to:

- Hood deflector
- Body side mouldings
- Rear bumper protector

And best of all, the car has an armrest! ;)

I'm still gonna stick around on these forums as I really do enjoy the Fit. I just wish the Honda dealership was more willing to negotiate on the MSRP, or throw in something to make it worthwhile for me. This kinda left a sour taste in my mouth.

grats on your purchase man, my neighbor has the corolla S, its actually not as bad as i thought it was. Have fun with it though.

i think the new corolla, while looking a little like the prev gen, looks much better in general now, it wears the camry styling better than its older brother.!

 

Hoffman Toyota near me has an '04 Corolla XRS for sale! I wish they had that when I looked at cars, I always thought they were awesome sleepers. The new XRS..ehhhhhh :(

 

does the new XRS have the celica engines like the matrix's had?

 

doubt it since there isn't a celica anymore

 

The Celica engine is gone and replaced by a crappy, gas-guzzling 2.4L. WTF is Toyota thinking?
