Current ride is a 2002 Suzuki Volusia VL800. Been riding (street bikes only) since 1965. So far I've seen 43 of the lower 48 states on various motorcycles. (I rented a HD Fat Boy in Maui a few years back.)

Do you know who Valentino Rossi is? Viva La Figa!!!!

Or since we are all about made in Japan on this BBS...how about Japan's Hometown Hero's like Kato Daijiro R.I.P., Shinya Nakano, and Nori Abe R.I.P.

I wonder how they started in Motorcycle racing..Racing Full Blown 125CC 2Strokes hahahaha I think Not!!!

Minimoto racing has long traditions in Roadracing!!!!

And my Fit can Fit 4 bikes gear and Tools for Race Day ALL INSIDE no Trailor!!! Beat that...I don't think you can do that many with a pit bike?

Fit = Minimoto Transporter!!!

FITrunner 04-28-2008 11:01 AM

I've got an '06 Ninja 250. People make fun of it similar to the way people make fun of the Fit, but it's hands down the best commuter bike I've ever owned. Yes, I've had better and faster bikes for cruising, but for a bike to get you back and forth to work there's no better. 65 MPG and plenty of room for a bag on the back seat. I love it...

Thats what i started riding back in 2002... it was a really fun bike... I sold it and bought an 2002 F4i and rode that until July 2005 when i bought my busa. If i could have kept all 3 i would have but insurance would have killed me. I am paying about $800 a year for full coverage alone on my Busa now and i'm almost 35 and married. Texas insurance on motorcycles is rediculus!

Hey, former Air Force here. My wife was AF as well, and we spent 5 years at Lackland in San Antonio. Where are you located?

We're actually thinking about making a move back down there if we can both find jobs. My wife has a job offer on the table right now at Wilford Hall, and I've started working on it. Even with the high motorcyle insurance premiums we miss Texas for sure.

Lilbigwheelz 05-09-2008 04:54 PM

08' Yamaha Zuma Scooter. That counts doesn't it?????

SmurFit 05-09-2008 08:21 PM

It's not WHAT you ride, it is THAT you ride. :)

I'm stationed at Sheppard right now. I'm trying to get a job down at Randolph in San Antonio. I was at Wilford Hall a few weeks ago for Allergy tests. Going back down in June for follow up. Good luck with the job situation! Hope it all works out for you guys!

had an SV650 ('99) and that was a wonderful bike. for insurance, it was classified as a standard, but it terms of dynamics, it was well beyond.

actually thinking of getting another bike, but probably a scooter. 80+ MPG baby, especially with oil futures as they are.

im looking into purchasing a motorcycle soon as well.

just need to setup the training courses through MSF, then need to go about choosing a good motorcycle.

im actually leaning towards a triumph bonneville, as it has the right looks and i can still take it on the freeway without too much of a hassle. i still need to do a little research on whats out there, but my roommate has a bike that he chopped together so hes been helping me out a bit.

Jshepsa 05-15-2008 06:17 AM

I ride an 05 ninja 250 as well. MPG is my friend. I get alot of shit from people all the time to but I just laugh when the Fit gets nearly the same mileage as thier bike.
