Today was Porsche Day

We had a couple '08 Porsches come in to the shop today to have paint protection film applied to each.

The first is a Boxter S and the second is a Cayman S.

The owner of the Cayman is now taking the car to some Porsche tuner in Atlanta to have a twin turbo kit installed and some carbon goodies for the body. Roock I think.

Goal = 425whp he said.

Poop.

I <3 Cayman's. They're like a Boxster, but 10x as badass looking!

No. In fact we clay the car to remove any and all contaminates including wax so that the film adheres directly to the clearcoat. You can wax over it afterwards, though.

Out of curiosity, do you know of any problems with waxing a car that has the clear bra? Specifically, wax building up around the edges of the film.

Not so far. Just take a little extra time and care around the edges and all will be sweet.

There is no substitute!

Caymans are the best as far as affordable performance goes. I used to own a porsche BEFORE the Fit... and i miss it in some respects. If i had to buy a sports car... the 911 is the benchmark.:D
