This is a diesel I would buy!

6.0 liter V12 TDI makes 500hp and peak torque of 740lb-ft at 1750rpm!

The turbo diesel-powered Audi R8 goes 0 to 62mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds; top speed is well over 186MPH

Diseal is more expensive than gas. I probably gets shit gas mileage. The insurance would be through the roof. I probably wouldn't fit in it.

But if someone gave me one I would definitely be really really really happy.

no price of yet, gonna be $$$...$$$ if Audi decides to put it into production, which it more than likely will, for the USA who knows, as for the rest of the world, looking like 2010.

Audis are great to drive. The steering is like nothing else, very responsive and doesn't feel assisted at all. I traded my A4 1.8T in for the Fit. Audis also need a lot of maintenance and are hard as !@#$ to work on! I worked at a Honda/Acura mechanic shop for 2 summers and hated everytime I had to do anything on my Audi. Not only is everything made out of plastic but it all uses star bolts and and stuff like that. I had to replace the clutch, that took FOREVER! Audi designers are very ingenuitive with their mechanical designs. But what they lack is good electrical designs (or atleast in 2000 car).

but then again, audi's usually weigh a ton.

Why do the gates on the shifter and the pattern on the shift knob not matching for reverse?

Regardless of horsepower traction becomes an issue, but I'd guess it's 0-62 time is off a bit (compared to comparable gasoline engines) due to the diesel having a 4,500 RPM redline so at least a couple of shifts would be involved.

i dunno....if you can have 500 hp in a civic and still get by, i'm pretty sure a car that has been ENGINEERED for the power will be able to put it to the ground.
