New NSX?

These shots are being flamed on the NSX forums atm. So long as they don't call it an NSX when it comes out I'm cool with it.
The new FR design is bleh. I don't like having to look over a hood when sitting behind the wheel. The view you get from MR cars is the best IMO. It's hard to explain but next time you see or know someone with an MR car ask to sit in the drivers seat and you will see what I mean. Granted our blind spot to the rear sucks, but you got to give some to get some. :p
Side shape looks like a bigger Z.
Yeah its fast, but then so is a Vette, Viper, etc. Would I take those over an MR design like the original NSX? Nope. Heck I don't even like the GT-R. Guess I am getting old. Fast only gets you so far. Im in it for sexy, the NSX, Ferrari's, and Lambo's all look fast and sexy sitting still. That's what I go for these days. :wavey:

ew i like everything but the rear
fitrunner: have you ever sat in an s2000?
i think that's the best FR design ever made to date.
the new NSX doesn't look too promising yet....i don't think they can top the classic styling of the '91 to '01 NSX

Actually yes, theres a couple NSX folks out here with S2K's. You are right, the view is pretty good. But that's because the S2K has a small engine, so the hood doesn't stick out as much. This thing is supposed to have a V-10. No way in hell you can hide that from view. My bad for generalizing all FR's together. :p :D
Same reason people comment on movies based on the trailer. Sometimes the comments are spot on, sometimes they aren't even in the ballpark.

im just commenting on the concept. everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
With no RSX, NSX, Type Rs, and the uglification of the TSX, I think it's actually good news to see this. It might not look like an NSX, but Honda focusing on a performance car (instead of trying to market the TSX as a 3-Series fighter, for example) is good news to anyone who loves cars.
That being said, I think the NSX (I prefer the pop-up headlight variants better) is one of the most enduring designs from Japan, along with the FD from Mazda, so there's a part of me that wishes it wasn't going to be changed too much.

it's hard to tell what it looks like with all of the wrapping on it. we can't be certain that those are the real body pannels either.
either way... i kind of like it... i'm the only one apparently.
it's supposed to be more capable around a track than the new GT-R.

Yeah, 2016 is probably on the optimistic side of things :p Has been years of talk but no solid action to produce a real sports car out of Acura since the death of the RSX. The SUV line is pretty fresh, but as far as cars go they are just becoming another rebadging brand of Honda IMO.
