you got one before they turned it into a Ford Probe. Manifold is definitely ugly but the intercooler looks nice:p

 

I wouldn't sell it dude. There's only one thing I would change and that is the window tints, they are purple already. Other than that, nothing. Again, keep it cause I'm in the same dilema as you cause I have a '84 Accord LX and shit only has 80k og miles and my parents want me to sell it.

 

They had the Probe at the same time as the Mx-6. Its the same exact car.
The 2nd gens is when the Probes/Mx-6's went to doodo.

Speaking of Probes. I actually had the cleanest first gen Probe in FL. Bought it for $500 completely stock and mint. (friend was moving out of state.) I got side swiped on the way to work, got a $1200 insurance check and sold the car for $1300. :D

Used the money for a DP on my Fit.

I hated them too, till I got one. Its a door stop.
The wheels are BBS's actually. Theyre off convertible 2nd gen Rx-7's. I got those at a junkyard for $100. :p

Painted them myself. I have another set that were on my Mazda. Red center with polished lips. I was thinking of putting them on my Fit. Adapters again. :-/

90+ is the worst year in the Mx-6's and Probes.

88-89's were the best. 88 Probes are SO rare. I know of 3 on PT.com, one is in Tampa.
88-89 Mx-6's were assembled in Japan. 90+ were in Little Rock. They are known to fall apart fast.

I dont think Id do it. The BBS's are already +40mm offset. Getting the 2 piece adapters would equal out to a +0mm offset again. Its too much.

GREAT Car! My buddy had an 88' GT when I graduated high school back in 1990 (yes, I'm old). That car was great. Chicks loved the automatic oscillating vents. That car is one of the reasons that I bought my 03 Mazdaspeed Protege (I no longer have).

Yes! Everyone loves the vents. Mine still work too. :D
And the MSP engine set-up is based off the 1G Mx-6's. Did you noticed the identical placement of the intercooler pipes and intercooler location? Not to mention the FS motor started in the 2G Mx-6.
Too bad the stock FS motor didnt like boost that much. At stock boost they werent too bad but once the boost was upped on the MSP's they popped quick.

A friend of mine had a 03.5. He only modded it to beat my 6. He never did though. ;)
He blew the motor twice and went through 5 transmissions.

 

Yeah, I loved my MSP, but I was really worried about the engine. That is why I sold it a year ago to get the Fit.
