I SAW A TESLA!!! (photos and vid coming soon)
I was driving to meet some college to see a UFC celebrity (Dan Henderson) and while on 101, I saw a blue car. I was like "is that a ferrari" (I never seen a blue ferrari). My bro who knows his supercars stares at it...and after a few seconds he yells "it's a tesla!" Then we drove parallel to it, and the driver and the passenger waved at us, and sprinted in a quiet hum.
THe pics is in my bro's friends phone. ONce I get them, I"Ll post them.

It sounded lik...nothing. All you hear is wind resistance, and maybe a quiet hum. I was driving, and the car was to my right. My bro had the window down, and he said he heard nothing as he sprinted.
Wow, I dont know what to say. People have enough money to buy these cars and yet no sense in taking care of them. Just like the Enzo that crashed in Malibu and the one by Eddie Griffin. :(
with money often times also have ego and add inexperience to that,
you get a crash. :hyper:
I saw that story yesterday. When I first read the story, I initially got concerned. But that tesla was black. This one was blue.
So sad. That's tesla #6. What's making the teslas so accident prone? Too much low speed torque? That has to be it...it would make stop and go mvoements very jerky.

is it rare to see this car or something? i saw one in sunnyvale several months ago, and another on the freeway a week later.
and then less than a month ago, i was driving behind a koenigsegg CXX on the freeway. i think those are one of the rarest ones to see on the streets.

True, the Tesla is a toy for the well-heeled. But Tesla did this on purpose because they wanted the car to sell as fast as they could build them. Those who plunk down 100Gs in the same manner as most people drop a buck into a vending machine can at least be counted on as a viable market demographic. Had Tesla started with an inexpensive small family car in the 20K range they'd have faced bankruptcy at the hands of a bunch of potential buyers who would have "waited to see how good they are before buying."
Tesla's long-term plan is to build an affordable family car--- after the concept has been proven by those buying the current exotic sports car offering. We shall see...
