i would say the k series is best. the b series engines has every aftermarket company making power parts for it but they have also found the limitations of what a b can produce. the k is new so not as many companies have easily accesible parts for it but the potential that it could be has not been discovered yet. the frankenstein k20/k24 makes unbelievable amounts of power where a b16/b18 doesnt compare.
the k also gets my vote because it can be shoehorned into the fit.

The K responds best to mods hands down. The F20/22 makes more power stock but without going forced induction you wont get more than 230whp on a fully bolt on + tuning F series. Although that 9k redline sure is fun...

K-Series FTW! The aftermarket greatly supports this series and they make a lot of power when modified.

I feel that the K-series has the most power potential. The B-series has slightly less power but is more affordable and easier to find parts for. They are both great motors.

K series hands down. NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!!!. Show me a B series that get's 15hp+ to the wheels from a RH. Sorry but have owned H,B and K series, K wins everytime.

NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!!!
Replacement for displacement = efficiency.

To answer the question, there is no "best".

Let's see Buddy Club, Vibrant, Strup, and even DC sports give about those gains some more. Remember these are Race headers and are not street legal but most don't care and run a defouler. K series cat is extemely restrictive and a huge bottle neck. All you really need to make 200whp on a K20a2, K20z1 and K20z3 series is CAI/RH/Cat-back.
