The Mazdas Replacement

Thats right... after having my 89 Mx-6 for probably more than 6years she is with another owner.
Ive known the guy since high school, he said hes always wanted my car.
Hes finally got her. :-/

We did a straight up trade. The car is a BLAST to drive and sounds as good as it looks. Its damn peppy for me, of course the Mazda was faster but this thing really moves.

I still get crazy looks when I tell people I traded my Mazda for a GTi.
Give me some time, this thing will look just as sexy. Yes I miss Vanessa, now my project is Aalina.
:)

Here was the Mazda. :(

30... you crazy.
He test drove it on 22psi. I turned it down as he has a heavy foot. He didnt mind though. He actually wanted it down.

Before he drove the Mazda he was talking about torque steer and how the Vw had so much. I was like; "No... You havent felt torque steer till you drive the Mazda."
The first gear he hit in boost he was like "GOTDAMN!!"

The Vw has no torque steer, or at least I havent felt any. :p

Thats exactly it. Anytime I drive peoples cars and they say that; "watch the torque steer."

Id rather keep the Vr6. 1.8T's arent as pleasing to the ears.
I already have 2 wheels in mind and coilovers.

You only know because youve seen it in person.
I removed the headlight today, I see why the tape is there. Theres a huge hole on the top.

The E-codes are here... Just need the harnesses.

hell to the yes! i'm all for the turbo's but vw vr6's sound sexy as hell. its less common to see them modded as well.

it looks great ray. you got the best of both worlds, the big H and vw's are my favorite makes. and that gti, even the way it is now, looks sex-ay.

congrats man. good trade! ;)

In high school, I had a friend with a MkIII GTI VR6. After leaving school doing 75 in a 30, I realized how quick it could be. In hindsight, that amount of speed was retarded and he also subsequently crashed it a year or so later. Enjoy it.

Does it have a god-awful interior? My friend's was a black exterior with this gross black with multicolored shapes interior. Eeeeewww.

It looks like little American flags? Heh
I had leather, the guy that had it before me said it was too beat so he changed the seats to "driver edition" seats.

:-D
It has a cat-delete, Neuspeed B-pipe with no resonator and the crazy rare Remus single tip exhaust. Ohh, and a Neuspeed chip. I believe I can rev it to 7500rpms? I only go to 7 as it feels pointless after that.

As for the coils, Im not looking at FK's. Theyre cheap so thats what Im getting.
Theyre actually 15% off right now, $475 shipped for the street kit.
All I really want is height adjustment. I dont want it to be drive like my Fit.
The GTi is already stiff on the H&R suspension.
