I think it makes the Insight look 100 times better... The one thing missing from the Insight's body IMO is any sense of sportiness. There was nothing at all about it that looked stylish. I know The Mugen kit would up the price even more, but it would be nice having a dedicated hybrid that looked that good.

Wow that looks amazing. Although the front and side shots look like a civic.

Wow, I'm surprised I actually kinda like it, minus the wing. With some better looking rims, and a moderate drop, with that body kit, that would look really nice, and at 71mpg, you really can't complain

I guess I'm the only one who thinks it looks almost... too... ricey? Reminds me of seeing the Mugen GE8 when it was first revealed - just a bit too much pushed to the thin line of ricer and sporty. To be specific, the front lip looks like part of those ricey bodykits we love to hate, the huge wing, and the awful exhaust tip. Still, stock or Mugen, beats the Prius in looks without even trying.

Also, the new Insight was in the new issue of C&D - it had around 45mpg average. I'm sure with the proper hypermiling techniques it can reach 70, but what hybrid can't right?

Yeah, official EPA numbers are 40/43, not even as good as the Civic Hybrid. But they weren't trying to get the numbers higher, they were trying to get the prices lower. They haven't said what the true price will be, but if it starts at $18k, they've done well... if it starts at about 20k though, then they should have just put more effort into higher MPG instead. It's still officially 10 MPG better than the Fit, and most of the test drivers got in the 60s with it in December.

slap on a warm-air intake like some owners did with the 1st gen insight. they are getting 90-100 mpg. with how low of mileage i put on my car, i'd have to fill up like every 2 months at that rate.

I guess I am the only one that likes the look of the triangle exhaust tip. Oh, well. I am in full agreeance on the wing though. It kinda reminds me of the EVO X and the WRX STI. Those cars look great with their respective stock wings. This one is a bit much. But not completely over the top like 5zigen wing that looks like an appendage more than an actual wing.

Definitely an upgrade in sportiness. I wonder why they aimed for zero lift? I would think that a little lift at speed would aid fuel economy.

lift = more drag, and hurts handling

I like the look of it. I want mugen to come out with some cars for us in the U.S. I was looking at the civic by mugen here i like it but for 30k it has no engine mods. If it was a better engine than the regualr civic i would have looked more into it.
