Recommendations for a 02 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon?

So my brother just got a 02 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon. It runs god and pulls strong still. It's auto and bone stock.

So, were should be start? I was thinking basic things like intercooler and exhaust.

Thoughts?

Suspension, brakes, wheels & tires. I'm a whore for handling. Brace it and race it. :)

I agree. Suspension first. Then wheels/tires. Brakes, then bolt-on performance.

Yeah I was thinking front and rear braces. Cusco?

Also, the intercooler has a few dings. And flies. Kinda yucky. The previous owner used to live in Washington and drove it down to Socal when he moved here.

Is there a mesh for the hood scoop and what intercooler would be recommended?

Clean it up for now and wait to upgrade to a front mount unless you want to do it now. I will look and see if I can find a mesh scoop insert.

Cheapest one I found so far.
