O you know I do but I will wait to see if my next lil trivia question gets answered in Name that honda
And not all of these are K cars some are considered sub compacts, and maybey even sports cars. I wish I could remember the one BMW made were the doors drop into the floor instead of swinging out

I've been a classic Mini owner for around 25 years now and have always loved the Kei cars. I'm really fond of some of the vans like the Sambar and Carry.

Was the HRV really a kei car?

I always thought it was an SUV.

And does the fiat 500 qualify too? Those are supposed to be coming to the US soon through Chrystler.

I almost got one of the mini trucks they used to had a dealer here. I MS they are street legal, unlike most states. I don't know if it is a Kei Car but my favourite would have to be the Toyota iQ though i hope they bring them over here under the scion name like rumored.

that's right. there are strict vehicle dimensions and engine displacement that laws that qualify a Kei car, according to what the auto broker told us - i remember that the engine displacement could not exceed 660cc

You may be right the 600cc rule is how they are determined????????
Then the smx prolly isnt one either because it has the same 2.0 liter motor that came in our crv(B20) I allways thought it was car's smaller that subcompacts, but after thinking about it you are right.
Hey rouge fit how hard is it to get parts for those things cause they can be fun. The suzuki carry can be fast and or drifted the subaru sambar comes in a supercharged version I think most of these K-car mini truck have a turbo charged version I used to work at a warehouse they had a turbo suzuki carry they used for move stuff around with. It was 4wd I think, it would have been fun to drive it more but I wouldnt be sure about driving one every day, it was small on the inside and definatly not the best looking thing to ride but If I could get one with a turbo it might be a fun lil play thing or a cheap beater for when it snows. Was your carry turbo got any pics of the engine

Couple of my Fav mini truck vids

yeah i don't know if the city turbo is a kei car either i don't remember the exact displacement i just know squeezing 100 hp out of 660 cc can't be easy...(i know this because in this month's import tuner the city turbo is featured)

Any body checked out the smarts I like them they cool and all but I think they cost way to much you could get a civic Si for what the brabus coupe cost which has 130 more hp, more room and 4drs if you get the sedan. There more than the fit is

they're cool but the mpg is no where near where it should be also, they're not very good at carrying stuff, plus no way to go into 'dirty' mode

Most of these arent I know the honda beat isnt, or the toyota sera, city turbo might have been but I am sure the second gen city turbo prolly wasnt,(it had the wider body style) but these are all cars that we can only read about for the most part I really was going by the ones that are allowed to compete in the k car race's in grandturismo and thats just a game.
This thread really should be renamed "The fun LiL cars that we will never get in america thread, exept for the city turbo some of those made it over here. But Im almost sure they were imported.

Now out of all the cars we posted picture's of Kie car or not, would you rather own?? And why
