My other Obsession....

And the reason I never have any money to spend on the Fit LOL The pics aren't the greatest, but they're all I have to date. For those of you who care the specs are as follows: 1940 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe 346cu flathead V8, 3spd column shift (yes a manual Caddy) fewer than 300 of these remain and now that i have mine apart I know why LOL

Sorry that last one is my favorite, and it is a Fit forum right?

Well originally the plan was a mild cosmetic restoration. The rear fenders and trunk apron (area below the rear bumper) had rusted pretty heavily, showing large bubbles in the paint. I was aware of the fact that the car had been in an accident many many years ago and a previous owner had repainted the car the Oxblood Maroon color you see on it. What I didn't know was that the maroon was not the original color, the accident was apparently rather serious, and the repaint was covering several inches (yes inches) of Bondo that were covering some very amatuerish body-work. The further apart the car came the worse it got. So the plan now is to perform a mild customization along the lines of a 50s style cruizer. Nothing too radical, a lowering job, shaving the door-handles. Then a complete rewiring (which it desperately needs) along with an update of all the lighting to modern specs (LEDs Halogens) To make the car safer to drive. It is a fabulous driving car, mechanically its in great shape, my Dad and I rebuilt the engine and trans four years ago. The poor old body just needs some TLC is all.
