My friend just picked this up from his brother in arizona and my brother gave it a wash and took it for a spin. He was told this is the only registered legit 96 4 door type R in america. his car is also on jdmland.com with some mugen wheels on it.

the car got repainted at MOB so it not the original paint but i think its the same color

there are actually about 10 known in the us but this is the only clean one and the only one in this color

Oh, and is either bumper stock? I would think that for a right hand drive car that the bumpers are not JDM stock. They look like the USDM version.
