It's been a while.

After doing the Honda thing for a few years, I decided to switch it up and get a 350Z in June after selling my Fit.

The car is a 2003 Touring edition. Touring edition basically has everything the Enthusiast Edition has, except you add the heated leather seats, Bose audio with 10" sub, and some other "Luxury" items.
03-04s had transmission issues and this car has also had a 2007 transmission installed by Nissan.

Haven't had the car 6 months yet and It has already gone through a few changes.

Day I got the car.

A week into owning the car I wanted to get a better feel for it and took it to a night event at the Central Florida Road course. The brakes were completely cooked after my 4th 7 lap session and I had to force the car to spin out after having NO BRAKES at all. Everything was fine and I just waited for the fluid to cool down a little before heading into the pits. Track day was Friday, new brakes were ordered by Monday. The overheating/fading problem seems to happen on all Zs, only takes a little longer on the Brembo models.

Next was a Nismo shift knob, Nismo S-Tune exhaust, and traded for a hatch with a Nismo spoiler.Oh, and I forgot to mention, but when the 2007 transmission update was done they also replaced the OEM clutch with a Nismo clutch as well.

Was not really happy with fitment (no matter how much I adjusted the hangers) on the exhaust and I put it up for sale shortly after buying it. It was also WAY too quiet.

Ran some MHT Concept Neeper Moxy's in 20x8.5 (front) and 20x10 (rear) for about a month. I hate chrome but I got a ridiculous deal on them so I had to say yes.

After that month I traded the MHTs for a set of BBS RGR replicas in 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with brand new tires all around + 500$ + free paint matching on the spoiler (I got it black, I want it chrome silver). The guy owns Extreme Powdercoating in Orlando.

A week after that I got a set of Tein S-Tech springs. Then it was on to making my custom single exhaust.

I was modeling it after a uber rare 1 off 11lb Ti single from a company in Japan. I couldn't afford that so I had a replica made using a Dynatech Spiral Flow race muffler.

Some videos of the 3" custom single. Big thanks to Marty's Muffler in Daytona Beach.

Questions/Comments appreciated.

Since the exhaust I picked up a set of APS 2.5" test pipes. Video's with test pipes soon.

Also picked up and installed a set of Koni Adjustables.

Future plans are...

1. Plenum Spacer
2. Sway bars
3. Neutral set of race rubber for my 18x8 +30 OEM wheels
4. 15mm spacers
5. The Z Store CF rear diffuser
6. GT Spec rear brace
7. Front lip of some sort
8. Y pipe
9. Tint (should be #1 but I don't want to redo the list)

Oh actually rear camber arms/toe bolts are #1 and I prob will order a set of Ichiba's this week.

Nah it's cops...Someone called them saying we (me and my rx8 buddy) were drag racing in the 100 open feet behind that sams club. I was going like 5 through there but I guess because my car is loud it means I was racing idk.

did the boys in blue give you much trouble for decibel racing?

you should have just made the exhaust go straight out the rear bumper.

symmetrical is just better looking.

Is there something wrong with the bottom of your passenger door and sideskirt? Can't really tell from the pics.

Damn Nick, Z is coming along nicely! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that exhaust? Sounds sick. How often do you go to CFRC? I think a few Fits were going out this Friday, only reason I asked lol

I've been think about picking up a set of OEM wheels (Si's, blades, etc.) with some sticky tires and doing a full season of autox this coming year. What class are you in? Keep up the good work, I'm sure I'll see you around soon

I haven't been out to CFRC since just before they shut down the road course for renovations. Honestly I've heard its just gotten worse since they reopened too. Even MORE unorganized and unsafe(didn't think that could happen). It's nice that its super cheap and all but they don't even ask for helmets on their autocross course wtf! Deff a good idea on gettin a second set of wheels + race rubber too. I know they are adding more classes for next season so I'm not really sure where I'll be. You going to the Kami meet this Sunday?

Yeah honestly I'm not too sure how I feel about it either. Of all the aftermarket spoilers available the Nismo is the only one that I like, but I just don't know about how it flows with the car. I'm having it painted to match and if it looks okay after, I'll keep it, If not...bye bye Nismo spoiler.
