08fithappy, If I'm not mistaken, aren't you the guy who's selling your S2000 to go back into a Honda Fit because you didn't like the amount of your monthly bill??

This vehicle doesn't appeal to me at all. But if you think you will be happy with it, go for it.

I was a long time ago. But i decided to pay most of the CR off. I have payed half of the car off and owned it a year now. So im keeping the CR and looking for a DD that has more room in it. But the gas would kill me thats why i have not pulled the triger on it

I think you should ask yourself why exactly you want this truck. If you want something fast, 500 hp sounds great but putting it in a 2wd truck is kinda stupid. I hope you own stock in a tire company.
If you want to do truck things, the payload is only 900 lbs. That is only slightly more than a Fit. Dodge does not recommend towing at all.

Seats two.
Horrendous mileage.
Useless for normal truck duty.
Fast... IF you can keep it under control.

It could be the most impractical vehicle ever.

thats a high mileage truck. i wouldnt go for a sport orientated car/truck with more than 30k on the odo.do know how it was abused or what not. now come on...it says adult driven..but the person who owns this truck..do u not think he probably pushed it super hard?

I would think that would be an expensive beast to own and operate. Think the opposite of a Honda. Did I read that it needs new tires right from the start. Think smokey burnouts.
Have you talked to the current owner to get a sense of how the vehicle was used and maintained?
Truck = big, heavy, unwieldy to maneuver. It may have a lot of hp, but it also has the aerodynamics of a brick.
Personally if I was looking for a 2 door, two wheel drive truck I think I would go Lightning.

Good luck w/ the purchase. It amazes me how so many people own multiple cars per person in the house hold. In the long run they just get parked all over the street, in front of other peoples' houses making them have to look at it from their front patio. I'm so glad my wife and I only own 2 cars and they are parked in the garage.

Good luck with buying that. I did a used car check on one that was traded in at my dealer. Totally impractical, but VERY fast for a truck.

Just be aware, that with those high miles, it probably due for a lot of maintenance. Clutch, rearend service, plugs, fuel filter, brakes. Also be aware the truck has HUGE tires. 295s/305s if I'm not mistaken. And they aren't cheap. Like, were talking $400-500 each not cheap.

Just do your homework before you pull the trigger.

Get the old inline 6, 4.9L F-150... best engine Ford ever made. Slower than the Fit, but great torque and decent mileage for a truck it's age. I had a 93, and it was a great vehicle to own.

A hole in the Street you try to fill with $$

If your pockets are deep then jump in! Like we're say'n a play toy is for fun and is ex$pencive against a sub-compact, I have 383 Charger with some of this and that done to it and if I don't go sideways in it I can get 9MPG!! But if I'm out kick'n it 15 gallons of the best gas w/boost goes maybe 70 miles! Yikes! and a set of tires 400 miles.... and so it goes .......... play tym!! LOL
