MommaBear and her rides....
My name is Renae and I'm in over my head.
I have too many cars and not enough room to store them. If you saw my garage, you would laugh. I have an extended garage with a workshop off to the side.

Still, it's never enough.
I grew up running with FastForward; my brother was a founding member. Back in the days they ran rotaries. I'm proud to say that they were the 1st multicultural crew! Back then, it was all about the build. None of this JDM madness. I use to pull all nighters out in the garage watching my brother port engines.
At 14, I would get busted coming home at the crack of dawn cuz I was out in Palmdale, Sylmar Ontario etc. My dad had a Rotary Power truck. Brother #1 had an RX4 & a Cosmo. Brother #2 had an RX2 & 2 1stgen 7's. Sister had a 1stgen 7. My 1st car was a stock turbo charged Mazda Mx6. My brother & I got busted trying to put in a larger turbo for the Mx6. As you can tell, my heart belongs to the 'racing beat'. This will make no sense to you unless you know your rotary engines.
Fast Forward 10+yrs.
I have a 69 Datsun Roadster that I don't want to do anything with.
'70 Honda AN600 - That is the love child of Tommy and I. Our 1st build.
I just got rid of my Lexus for a FIT
I want to steal my brothers 1stgen Mazda Cosmo.
That would complete my nostalgia collection
So I've been up to my ears, with Odysseys that is. Tommy and I having been building my Odyssey for the past year. It's got an H22 with a 5 speed conversion. We just turbo charged it
WekFest (w/ H22, 5 spd, turbo, Mugen kit, & Racing Harts type C's):

Old ones w/ H22, 5spd, Garson kit & Veilsides:

Once I get my interior done, I'll have pics of that. But for now, here's what it looks like:

Now onto Tommy's Odyssey. Not sure if any of you heard of the "Whitfield (sp?) van" but thats the one we have now.

He's built a Super Touring van. We were wrenching away most of February cuz we're trying to get it to Wekfest. We got stuck cuz the header and the pipes would not go where they needed to go. There are 4 pipes that need to be split up. 2 over and 2 under. It's like basket weaving with pipes. Van #2 didn't make it to WekFest but it's home now from the header fab.

It also has am H22 with a 5 speed conversion. He's not running a turbo. He's flipped the whole engine around

And I just picked up the wheels for it

Stay tuned...

I'll get to posting them some other day... Daisy is a thread in itself!
The super touring will be our 3rd ody with a 5 speed.
We're can do a conversion in a day given that everything is lined up properly
I'm actually considering getting BABYODY for my Fit plate
and a vinyl that says Just Add Water
and a vinyl that says Just Add Water
where you the one sleepin at the rest stop on that night after Wekfest?!
I saw a black fit parked at a piss stop and the guy was asleep!
I was at the end of the row where are the Bb's where. I was next to a burgundy Bb with teal Steelies!
YUP that would be me. My hubby is friends with the parts dude and so we frequent !
I meant to say I saw your car but not you. Im friends with the owners of the xB's you were parked next too (Ommar and Chris).
I didn't get to see a whole lot at Wekfest. I was doing more PR with the van and rapping with the peeps. it was very fun though :)
here's the story of Daisy (I don't mind if you skip all this jabber and move onto the pictures :P)
I received this rusty heap in 2006. It was my boyfriends token of love to me. He bought it from the original owner in the South Bay. She was a little old lady who had it sitting in the back yard. The wheel well had nests in it! I'd never seen anything like it. She is a 1970 Honda AN600.

In the spring of 2007 we decided to do something with it. We started to strip it.

Since there was SOOOOOOOOOOOO much rust, Tommy felt it needed a bath in some acid.

Here she is getting set to go

He's really strong

OMG.. after it had it's bath, we found out that the acid may have compromised the glue that was used to attach certain pieces of the car together.

Off to get 6 point cage. And while she's at it... stitch her up!

He's awesome and I love what he did to my girl!

I had been eyeballing paint colors for awhile and wanted a color that popped. But, it had to be cute! Baby Pink with flakes did not go over well with Tommy  Mellow Yellow was it...

Some Cosmics for my little lady..

Had the original seats reupholstered...

Put it all back together...

and that, my friends, is how Daisy came to be.
