Well I sold my Galant and bought this:

Bone stock 91 Civic Si

So far I've added a Buddy Club short shifter and shift knob, as well as my wink mirror

Sorry for the poor pics haven't taken any since the night I bought it (while it was raining)

This weekend I'm picking up some wheels for it, and after that coil-overs

Give me some pointers

Thanks for looking

I plan to do a lot in the future, but right now college is my first priority

With that said I want to have the TE37's refinished and coil-overs on by the end of the summer

After that I plan on restoring the inteior and exterior, with SiR pieces scattered throughout

My big goal is a b16b swap

Very nice car! I can't believe you found one in such great condition, and in stock form still!

Most of the people that want to start a project like this have to remove all the retarded mods that the previous owners put on. (i.e. fiberglass body kits, euro tails lights, mesh grilles, etc.)

I like the idea of the TE-37's and keeping true to the SiR looks, subtle is definitely the way to go.

The only thing I would do differently is try and work off the D-series platform rather than opting for a B-series swap. I know it's not the most popular way to go right now, but it would be a good way to stand apart from the crowd. Check out Project Car magazine's CRX build for some inspiration if you choose to stick with the D series, I'm pretty sure that's what they went with when they threw down with Jonathan Wong's EF build.

Good luck with your project!

I completely agree with the D-Series being a great platform, but to make any decent numbers with a D you need to go FI......and personally I will never own a Honda with FI, I just don't think it's right lol

Plus, B16B is one of the two or three best Honda engines of all time IMO

And yeah I got lucky with such a stock one

Yeah, if you are trying to make any kind of power numbers at all, FI is the only way to go on a D. But I don't blame you for wanting to keep it NA, there's just something about a NA engine that is so sexy... especially a B-series!

You should still check out their CRX build though, it was somewhat of a show/go project they worked on. One of the nicest pieces they had on the car was a custom glass intake tube that they fitted nitrous to. I've never seen anyone else with a mod like that. You would be a balla fo sho...

Keep those godawful things that are on it in the pics for winter tires! Looks like a rare, clean example in your neck of the woods. Nice!

JDMchris.com Jun 18, 2010 07:14 PM

Just go K... a K swap is just a little more than a B16 swap nowadays. remember like I said... Integra DC2 center console! Best mod ever in a EF! Remember the 90-91 seat fabric design and brackets are different than the 88-89 ones when getting SiR interior.

Gbaby2089 Jun 18, 2010 09:05 PM

^I'm not going SiR interior, once I get another car I'm taking out the back seats and putting in some old school recaros up front

Chris do you have any pics of the DC console in your EF?
