Interesting look. Kinda like a CRZ screwed a S2000 and it produces this thing.

i read a while back that it's supposed to be fwd instead of mr... also, if you read the article it'll be based on the crz chassis and use a similar mac pherson front and torsion beam rear suspension.

i hate getting excited about new hondas only to get let down -- ie. new tsx, new tl, new tsx sport wagon, crz, civic si and who even knows if it'll be sold state side... i won't let honda break my heart anymore lol

But! It's Honda, so it'll be fwd, 1.3L making 70whp and automatic or cvt only.

Sigh

That is why they gave us the airel atom :)

I doubt the beat will ever make it here if made and even if it does it will probably be a hybrid or something and be way to heavy for its own good and barely make 100hp. This is why my next car will be an S2000 because Honda doesn't make sports cars anymore. They just make disappointments claiming no one wants a fun and FAST car.

Man they have been going in to wrong direction for a while. We need some of the old honda blood back. I don't know who left or who took over but they are ruining both Honda and Acura in record time. I can say that neither company makes a car currently that I am super excited about. The fit is really the last thing as the new SI is portly and we just keep getting screwed with no type r or real performance versions. I hate that "mugen" cars here just mean a ricey bodykit and zero perfomance gains.

Its ok. Would I buy it? NO! The one in the video? HELL NO.

Honda is going this route due to the economy and fuel cost. It really does sell. Especially in foreign markets.

Am I pleased? NO. I love my older hondas.

Honda is long time due for some new models that will bring performance back to the line. Honda has focused way too much on the standard fair and not given us anything exciting for a long time.

yah, even if it's an Acura they need to bring something RWD with 6MT back. put a V6 in there, around $40K 4-seater coupe to start things off. something the G37C's and 335's can be compared to.

no more of this FWD underpowered economy 2 seater crap.

Yeah but the cars they are putting out now really aren't getting that much better mileage than the cars they used to make. The S2000 got good gas mileage while still being a sports car that could run with the best of them. Also cars like the MX-5 miata are still very popular in other countries where gas is more expensive and they still sell here. Same with the Z4, Nissan Z, and a hole slew of "hot hatchbacks" that sell like crazy. Tell me that a 300 horsepower AWD 2 door hatch wouldn't sell here (see ford focus rs and others). I would be first in line. Thats what they get in Europe where everyone complains about high gas prices. What do we get? The 105hp CR-Z that barely gets better MPG than a 90's civic. Or a $35k mugen civic that is nothing more than a body kit and some wheels.

You could also look at Mercedes and their AMG dept. Some how they can justify making these crazy high horsepower cars and they sell somehow. Now I am not saying we need the same from honda for every model but it is proof that there is a market for performance over economy.
