Unreal

Look at the engineering and execution on this Sunbird!

th350 has a shitty tq arm mount for the rear, so we took that and welded it to the trans cross member since it does not bolt up to the glide.
so i made this beauty out of all the parts.

then we had to modify the shifter cable bracket for the th350 to shift the glide

wired up the trans brake and all is ready.

gunna take it to the track this weekend, Saturday to cecil county if the weather is good, hopefully get some passes in.
The trans cable bracket is one of the 9 wonders of the world

DSM is coming in at my budget cap for this year and the first half of next year, unless I can get some more client commissions on top of what I got the Fit and tentative stang/capri project are once again getting put on hold. :/

Just had to buy a new washing machine as well, the price of replacement costs was not worth it so just grabbed one from ABT.. do what you gotta do.

As TC told me last fall... I got too many sticks in the fire.

Now you see why I am moving on to the V8 crowds?

Still love my 4 bangers, but definitely looking into a small block ford or a GM LSx motor project to turbo next. Will be RWD with a dogmission.

I had a nitrous 305 SBC in a Monza sometime ago, and I'm getting the itch for a V8 again.

Diesels too, miss my 6BT.

Well, when you get to that project I EAGERLY await the build thread!

My buddy wants to cram a SBF in his Taurus SHO, convert to RWD and turbo it... Since he has already gone through 2 head gaskets and 4 trannys and the thing is sitting in his drive way collecting rust... I am supporting his crazy scheme LOL

I have LUSTED for one of those trucks since I first saw them come out at a local auto show.... If my Fit ever gets converted from a DD to a real race car, I think this would make the perfect "toy hauler" :D

That'll be fun. Those look like GTX5533R turbos. Each getting ~4L of exhaust gas to spool, and only 72* between pulses.. should make some noise!

Any idea what fuel he's running? Or what cam?

The throttle body on the A2W intercooler is pretty nice touch too. I wonder what that'll do for response/distribution with what will become basically a huge intake plenum from the throttle blade to the front of the motor?

But that truck is heavy enough, with enough displacement it shouldn't matter. It's a drag build anyways.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing!

After having read 153 pages of AWESOME... THIS 1963 Pontiac Tempest LeMans - Featured Vehicle - Hot Rod Magazine

Now all I need to do is find a 60-63 Merc Comet like my dad used to drag in the late '70s and we have a Father son project ready to go!!!
