Trabant RS by Kokonja is a communist gem
With 220 HP Fiat Coupe-sourced engine
Bulgarian tuner Kokonja has decided to conduct work on a rather long-forgotten car
Produced by a former automaker from East Germany, the Trabant was powered by a tiny two-cylinder, two-stroke 600cc engine developing a modest 26 HP (19 kW). It needed an agonizing 21 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and was able to reach a top speed of only 70 mph (112 km/h).
The car has made a return in an "RS" version developed by Kokonja. The stock engine was removed to make room for a 220 HP (162 kW) motor borrowed from the Fiat Coupe
Aside from the engine transplant, it also boasts a Brembo
