2014 Ford Transit Connect Hot Wheels debuts at SEMA [video]
Oversized toy
Ford is presenting at SEMA a Hot Wheels concept of the 2014 Transit Connect, along with a multitude of other projects based on this model.
Described as a "hot rod van", this Hot Wheels interpretation of the 2014 Transit Connect was developed by Ice 9 Group in collaboration with designers from Ford and Hot Wheels. The vehicle is powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter Ti-VCT engine and has received a wide array of modifications, including a larger body which is four inches wider in the front and six inches at the back.
Instead of the standard sliding doors it packs gullwing doors, while the front fascia and bumpers adopt a new look inspired by the Focus RS. The vehicle now rides on bespoke 20-inch alloys and comes with a fully customized interior featuring two 18-inch tablets installed in the rear doors and a huge 55-inch TV. It also has a Sortimo secondary floor with a set of drawers for tool storage and has also received custom Recaro seats derived from the Focus RS.
Additional details can be accessed from the press release area.

There seems to be a new old trend it was announced that GM will sell rebadged Nissan NV200 City Wise in the USA. No station wagons but vans. The Ford is the same size as a Focus (short wheel base).
