I went with an xA instead...

It came down to the FIT and the xA... the FIT is better packaged and has "normal" guages, but ultimately, the xA looks way better.

I liked the looks of the xA, but DAMN, I ABSOLUTELY HATE the center mounted instrument cluster. HATE IT. That's not where the gauges belong! My back seat passengers have no business seeing my gauges... and I shouldn't have to turn my head to see them.

I will admit to considering something other than the Fit, though... the Matrix has caught my eye... and the base model with the manual gets very very close to the same fuel economy... Not sure about the price, tho, optioned like the Fit Sport, it would probably cost more unless I could get one for less than MSRP.

I'm kicking around the idea of visiting a Toyota dealer to see what they could do for me.

Congrats! I love the xA. Im more partial to the way the fit looks though. But good buy none-the-less. You can get some pretty sweet parts for the xA from toyota!

Cool :)

I liked the xA, but they're so common around here ... I guess people in the city are going more and more for the small cars. I see several a day; Fits are much rarer, so I still like to think my car has the "wow" factor, hehehe. The xA's a great car, though, and I'm sure you got an awesome price.

I was debating between the xA too. My sister finally got the xA; it's a very good car and I'm sure it was much easier to get. I agree I love its look. Congratulations!

I was looking at the Xa too but the Honda showed up at the dealer and it was just the one I wanted so I bought it. I'm sure I would have been happy either way, but I really like the Fit.
Congrats.

dont fold the back seats down on a fit, you'll be sorry. I looked at xa and something was wrong with thier seats, folding them was like stacking boxes.
I did have a black one next to me at the lite, we both ignored each other

Would have looked at an xA if it were sold as a Toyota instead of that goofy Scion moniker. What is in a name? A lot...and you could end up with an orphan fast. Trust me, I have owned my share in the past years.

^^ Huh?

Congrats on the xA! You need to get yourself over to www.scionlife.com right quick to learn everything you can about it. Good community there w/ lots of info -- when I had my xB it really was a big help.

My boyfriend has a Scion tC and I came SO close to getting the xA (I got to a lot of Scion meets with them and I LOVED what some had done with their's) but then Bogdan showed me the Fit...and after thinking long and hard about it, I thought the Fit was a better choice. The stock features on the Fit I believe outweight the xA and the room compared to an xA is amazing I think. And then...I mean, come on! The fronts seats in the Fit doing what they do and how clean the back seats fold up...*drool* There is a reason why my car is called Hump...hah.

I probally would have gotten the xA if the Scion person would have gotten back to me quick enough. However...I'm happy with my choice and when I went and bought mine, my parents came with and ended up buying my brother a fit (i'm still mad that I'm buying mine all by myself and they just bought him one....grrrrr!). Two fits in one day! And my mom wants to go get one for herself now (she has a Ford Escape...*gag*)

I'm sure you will love your xA. Great car and lots of fun. Check out the Scion sites...they have lots of get togethers and run great deals on upgrades and mods:)

You are right about the center stack on the xA. The Fit dash is way cooler!
