How are your other Honda family members doing?
Our 2015 Fit is the first car I can honestly say I'm a bit passionate about. I mean, how many ways can you love your Fit?? On the other hand, my senior Honda sits quietly off-stage (but actively in service each day), and I just thought an occasional peek at these venerable family members would be fun to share, and as desired, commented upon.
Honestly, I have recently retired, and purely in response to the spirit of fitfreak.com, have restructured my day to Fit in some appropriate Honda maintenance emphasis (blush). So here's our '96 Civic, purchased second-hand in 2000, and in appreciation for many miles of still-continuous service, dubbed "Gwendolyn Penelope" by our merchandizing spouse. :)
And by the way, Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax is pretty amazing stuff! :wiggle:

2003 Civic 2015 FIT
My wife drives the FIT. She loves it!
I got the 2003 Civic EX. 266,??? miles. One repair in all those miles.
Had to replace the locks/keys. Expensive for sure but that is the only
repair. Still have the original rear brakes.
Soon we will get a new windshield, the timing belt and I hope an oilpan
gasket. Starting to use a cup of oil every 1000-1500 miles.
We bought the FIT because the Civic was so dependable. With no repairs
and 40 or more mpg on the highway our TCO was super nice. FIT is better
on gas and a lot more fun to drive.

Are you kidding me? Original brakes? You've got to be hypermiling to get that kind of mileage out of brakes, even just the rear ones.

Anticipation
New Mexico is kind to cars. Lots of long runs with no stopping.
I also get off the gas when there is stuff happening in front of me.
Control the speed with the gas pedal and your breaks will last longer.
Now I just have to learn not to be the first one across the intersection.

My wife loves her '13 Fit. She has a 5 mile commute into town and only put about 5K on it in the first year. It's our go-to vehicle to transport bulky things out of the weather. However, my back doesn't care for the seats after about an hour.
I really like my '14 Accord EX - comfortable, roomy, peppy, good handling, handsome, and very comfy cloth seats. I have a 40 mile commute each way so I have over 14K miles on it in the past 9 months.
My '12 Ridgeline RTS is my go-to winter driver and hauler. It usually looks like this, even if I washed it a few days ago, due to the unpaved roads around here.
My '05 S2K is a fair-weather garage queen. It only has 7K miles and has never seen rain, let alone snow. The original owner treated it like a museum piece, never winding up the engine and seldom putting the top down. I almost never drive it with the top up and every outing has to exercise the VTEC. However, getting in and out is becoming more of a challenge for me.

Very nice Honda collection there... You are probably on a first name basis with all the local Honda service folks.
How are my other Honda members? ... feeling a bit neglected by my attention on the new '15 Fit.

I believe it. I am still on my original brake pads (front and rear) on my '09 fit. Got 114k on them so far.

What a family!
Wow car compulsive, that IS quite a Fit family! I'm afraid we have lost an embarassing number of Honda family members to driving conditions in Atlanta with 3 totaled vehicles. Neither I nor spouse have been at fault, and we are both more than appreciative of the safeguards built into Honda vehicles. Interesting to share the respective purposes of each of your Hondas, and the '05 S2K definitely leaves me thinking about "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
