Surf Wagoon aka " Wipe Out "
#2
This thread is a continuation of this 1992 hatch's time with me and the transformation it has gone through in the last few years.
When I purchased this little hatchback it was nice looking enough but the plastic coat was old and looking it. The roof was a mess of dents. And the interior as original, yuck!
This August was the real show down. I took 2 weeks off from work and the wife and kids went to PA for 2 weeks. And that was a long hot 2 weeks. 14 to 18 hour days in a 100 + degree shop with just Hemi my shop dog and best friend with me. He was just in it for the biscuits lol.
Best time I have had since I bought "Lil Red" home. And me and my baby girl worked on it together.
But back to the wagoon, there's still plenty to do. Sound system, carpet, wet sand and buff, O and the surfboard.
The board may be the best part of the whole car. But more of that later. Right now it's just an ol dude's ramblings of a vision I had and that is coming together.
I don't think many ppl here really care about a EG hatchback but I'm an old timer here and apriciate a fourm that lets all Fit Freaks thread their projects together in one place.
I started with MiZFiT a bom gd3 in 2008. And that's what got me into hondees. And the good Lords knows since then there's been a bunch. To date, 4 EF hatches, 1 EG, 1 accord, and 2 gd3s.
So this EG aka EGgy was acquired 12/14 and has been the red headed step child, patiently waiting for attention. And attention she will get when she cruzes down the beach roads on the outer banks and the strip in Va Beach! Board on top and cheap sunglasses on the driver with War's Low Rider song blasting through the rockford fosgate. Ahhh don't cha just love it when a plan comes together?!
haha, peace b with u,
Big Mike :D

Stocker d15b7 100 hp and change. The 5spd is a jdm with taller gears and she pulls hard for a ol's cool ride.<br/>
Trim is tight

New shifter boot. The one i removed was 2 years old but had already sunbleached. And the S2 knob was satin black, but the gold to black fade is okay for now, soon it will be a wooden knob.

Bought a chrome mugen gas cap cover from Offer Up.
The person sold the car before installing the cap. Good deal for both of us! Yessss
I'll post up a pic as soon as I glue the cap and cover together.

Bad capacitor in ecu P06 c21.
It has a Python Injector Inc. rebuilt ecu. rebuilt being the word in question, modified def.
drilled a freakn 1/4" hole thru the board where a 220mf cap goes?
Anyway replaced all the caps. and the ecu is back on track. Car is running like a scalded cat! Idel is as smooth as butter.
Happy Camper,
$8.00 shipped on eBay for all the caps!
or a used one on eBay for 80.00 to 140.00 ha ha. yeah with 25 year old capacitors.
