PRM Racing
PRM was founded in 1996 by Gerry Sica inventor of the patented in-line filter co-named Jet Stream Intake System. The award winning filter design received high acclaim at the 97 SEMA show and was featured in many performance magazines. Our in-line filters accomplish 3 fundamental duties in the performance arena.

* Cleans incoming air with free flowing washable cotton gauze media
* Draws ambient air safely with no worry about rain
* Straightens out air flow = more torque & hp.

This looks like a great intake and price. Do you have any of the AT intakes left? If so, has a Dyno been done yet?

Awesome news Gerry! When I get mine in, I'm sure it'll only prove that the wait was well worth it!

I was left off your updated group buy list though despite having been on there since the last time you posted the list in February. Hopefully I'm one of the "no names?" on this list

PM sent...

With his attention split half a dozen different directions, and having to coordinate the production of a bunch of outside vendors for custom molded silicone tubes, aluminum tubing, bracket fabricators, tubing mandrel benders and polishers, it is no surprise that a name or two or three on a group buy list (or a dozen lists) might get away from Gerry.

The important point is, the kits that belong to the people with the forgotten names are ready to ship, and have not been sold to anyone else. Identify yourselves- then the kits can be shipped.
Thanks for the info and reassurance manxman!

Gerry just got back to me and I was indeed one of the "no names." He had my order, but wasn't sure of my username here in the forums. So if you think you're a "no name" contact Gerry and I'm sure he's got you covered.

And again THANK YOU Gerry for all your time and work! I'm already sending friends and people your way.

HE JUST GETS IT!!! & so do all the other guy's who ordered.
I too believe & have always know for the past 10 years, that we have the best intake system on the market.a little self induced hipe. its all in our filter design!!

Our kits are very popular in the Honda S2000 community.I have to say its our best seller, or was , little Fit's going to give that title a run!!
i have a comparison dyno graph of PRM vs AEM on a S2000 we made 5whp

Thanks Gerry!

For anyone wondering about this, send the man an email, the customer service is top notch and they're quick to reply.

Also, if there's anyone still questioning fitment (like I was) kit works on both manual and auto transmissions.

Gerry, since the first dyno was done on your other design of your intake, can you re dyno the new intake.

I mean apple to oranges but this should and will effect the dyno numbers, so we should all be curious including you guys at PRM.

I know, I know that your new intake will benit with its new location as thats where the ram air feeds threw to where the other location was much cooler and also fed on cooler air from a lower location threw the bumper and on a dyno you dont really see this, even with the best of fans (generally).

So re dyno your new intake?

soon comith

I'll have some dyno #'s for you guy's soon, i'm personally not feeling well,
dealing with a virus for the last 5 days & its a bad one!! I also have to correlate with the donor car for the dyno session, should have it done by next week some time. After taking the new intake for a back to back test run with the original version, my butt & ear dyno are telling me there's more power there, when rev's climb faster that means your making more power.
If your going to gauge the #'s against other manufactures #'s, i know what goes on, its not a level paying field. To be honest, an independent dyno test; against other intakes on the same car & on the same day is the way go.we personally don't practise this,i design the best intake i can & put it out to market, but i have to tell you ,every time we've went up against another leading intake manufactures, we came out on top!!
This system has it all, good power-safe to run in the rain- draws ambient air, thanks to the scoop & flat out sounds awesome, NOTHING compares to the sound of a Jet Stream Intake System.
Can't wait to here the reviews next week, its going to be HOT!!!
I bet we're going to have alot of happy members

Gerry

(This below statement is nothing against Gerry and his intake, just in general)

Maybe I dont have the 30 years I do workin on cars but I have over 10. You cannot use your butt dyno to judge anything ever. Sure if your car is boosted or something like that where it is obvious faster but its been prooven time and time again that we cannot feel a diff in 3-5whp. You can use simple tools like a g tech pro meter to accuratly measure a new product if you dont have time to dyno or want to see what simple tweaks do to your car. Just because a intake is loud is aldo doesnt mean anything, its a open end, a filter and a tube that resonates sound so ofcourse it will be hear anmd the larger the diameter of the pipe, generally the louder that sound will be at WOT. Some consumers dont care and just want anything so tey can so look and listen to my intake while many others want something prooven.

Now on that note, Gerrys intakes have been prooven which is a great thing. Untill I have one and see how they are I cannot comment on what others say about them. But Ive already said that I will be getting one and I will and I will stand behind any product and back it knowing in my heart its a great product.

My last big build made close to 600whp, It ran a best of 10.8@134mph at Sanair. This was a car I drove to the track and drove home. Won numerous trophies for being a best of civic hatch and best of JDM so I do know a thing or 2 about building cars!

bass-ackwards, he will dyno when he has time he is too busy shipping, Youve done gerry great things but saying stuff like this is like saying he doesnt care to get new results out and wants to ship as many as he can out and is more concerned on making money. Oh but your butt dyno says so. Well in that case you should start to charge for it since its bang on!
