These are the street basis for the 2009-2013 GE correct?

Why are you selling? I'd be interested in them though. I'm in Las Vegas, NV.

 

So, I'm selling them because they are softer than I would like. I think I want something sportier. The reviews left by other users are basically correct: reduced body roll by about 50%, less pitching and sway side to side, handles noticeably better, more stable feeling, and remarkably comfortable. This is really the suspension that the base FIT should have come with from the factory. HOWEVER, it's NOT sporty

I'm really hoping for NYC pick up to be honest.

Can you tell me the extended length of the rear shocks and also the compressed length (the length of the shock when the piston is compressed down all the way).

 

I have it packed up tight in the box already.. what do you need this info for? Did you get the Street Advance kit ?

 

To prevent the rear bottoming out when lowered with passengers.

For the 2009 to 2013 Fit, so GE8.

The street basis rear have max drop of 2.5"...at this drop they only have about 1" max stroke before hitting bumpstop.

Fronts at full drop (also 2.5" drop") have maybe 1/2" of stroke before hitting bump stop.

Rode the street basis for 3 years lmk if have any other questions. Just swapped to bc racing yesterday.

Ps... The springs are so soft... if you have four people in your car average size you'll absolutely be riding on bump stops...if fully dropped 2.5".

Highy recommend not lowering these more than -1.75" to maintain ride quality.

 

I think you may be focusing onthe wrong thing here, the damper length doesn't matter. They're appropriate for the GE8.

You can adjust the height via spring preloaded.



I experimented at about -2 inches to -1 inch. The difference in feel and handling didn't vary too much, but -2 did feel a little tighter.



I would adjust these according to your road condition: give yourself enough ground clearance for your tire/wheel setup.
