I tried taking off my Fit emblem with floss and 1/4 way through the "F" and it seems like it's the wrong way to do it lol it leaves the backing to it. Can I just take the dot off somehow and get a red dot?

nah I don't own a blow dryer. I'm having the dealer install my side moulding tomorrow, can they maybe take the Fit emblem off for me for a few extra bucks? I'll ask them about it...
