Excuse the resurrection but I just bought this kit! It ended up costing $675 shipped in the end--a fantastic deal on such a rare kit. The quality is very impressive.

$325 to fix the front and rear bumpers!

So I'm definitely doing that but...$400 just to fix the single side skirt that took damage!


So it looks like I'll be rockin' (in a bad way) the Sport side skirts until I have some more cash.

The front and rear bumper will be at the right level but the side skirts...look way too high in comparison. I gotta find someone to fix this cheap but I haven't been very lucky...I could get a new set of replica side skirts for $300 but that would be lame dropping the authentic skirts.

 

$400 to fix is crazy. Is the other side skirt in good condition? Maybe talk to the makers maybe you can get just one side skirt from them for around $400 i'd rather have a new for the same price rather than a repaired.

 

Well it's 8 hours of labor because its cracked on both the visible side and the underside and the end piece where it screws on behind the front wheel is completely gone. 8 x 46/hr = $368

The other skirt is perfect.

I'm pretty sure at the asking price of 250,000 yen (about $2500) for a complete body kit, that the new skirt from Ings+1 would cost just as much as repairing the one I have.

The guy I'm going to charges minimum labor hourly, AND he has so much experience, several ferraris, lotuses, etc, really decked out shop, guy is a total enthusiast--they do the best work.

Everywhere else I went wanted even more than 8 hours to fix it at the same rate! I think I'm going to unload my next paycheck on getting the skirts fixed...we'll see when it's all done hopefully Wednesday.
