F/S J's Racing 1.5 LSD (GD3)

SOLD!!!!

Hey guys, i'm getting rid of my precious J's racing LSD. I've recently gotten a new transmission and didn't want to go through the hassle of putting it back in. I've only had the LSD on for about 6 months and its' treated me very well. Its 1.5 way (which means its applied fully accelerating forward and half lock during heavy braking) clutch type and was manufactured by Quaife (so i hear).

New its about 1200 bucks, but i want this gone so i can have some cash in my pocket. Shoot me any offer you're thinking of and we'll work it out from there. Anyone interested?

i'm not too sure about the fitment for an A/T...but what it does (in a nutshell) is basically takes power from the wheel that is losing traction and transfers it to the wheel that has the most traction. Think of a row boat with one paddle on each side. You know how in order to turn, the outside paddle needs to work harder/faster than the inside paddle? The LSD basically enables the outside wheel to do that during a corner. W/O the LSD, the power basically goes to the path of least resistance (ie the wheel losing traction cuz it'll spin easier) which will cause front drive cars to understeer (which most consider a very bad thing ). Hope that answers your question

any takers? its a good price, i assure you

Which version is this? I believe J's has two different versions. One is more for track while the other for street driving.

as far as i know, there's only one, and its this one. But if you want my opinion, this is a clutch type LSD, they're much more aggressive and lock harder than a helical (gear) type. They also require a lil more maintenance (ie need special oil, need to change oil more often, will eventually need to replace the clutches). I've had helical and clutch LSD's before and the clutch types pull harder under throttle during cornering than helical ones do.

BUMP!!!! for a REALLY good LSD. I'm currently running it with my Turbo set up and it definately help me put more power to the ground as well as whip through corners quicker.

and just to correct you, the LSD is made by KAZZ

PMed, reguarding the trans.
