Honda : Fit:eBay Motors (item 190318675067 end time Jul-06-09 18:46:03 PDT)

I seriously wanted to share this with you guys, as I was looking around for a honda car to get my kid (yes, he's only 2 years old, and yes I am serious) I saw this, and figured this would be perfect for someone who needs the engine, or would like to try and rebuild one for fun. The radiator can easily be put together, removing the AC would reduce weight, and if you think about it, the radiator support isn't too big of a deal, straighten out the hood, put an intake where the headlight was, and guess what, you have yourself a cute little rice cracker. (not even a rocket)

but for 600$? seriously? go for it =D

That's an interesting find. Just a thought, when looking for a car for your son so soon aren't you concerned that the government will make the car you choose completely illegal to drive by the time he's old enough to use it?

it doesn't really matter, the thing will be so gimped, it wont even be road legal to begin with. trying to fix the air bag sensors is risky, and I wouldn't want to even touch that. I'll gimp it more if needed. If and when I move to IL, I'll let him drive around the property on the gimped car.

EDIT: Plus, I would get this if I had a garage... I have the time, and the cash, I just don't have the space to do it here, if I was where I wanted to be in life, I wouldn't be in the Bay Area, I would be in the farmland in the midwest.

It scared me when I saw this post. I thought you'd wrecked your Fit. I'm really glad you just found a wreckd on on Ebay.

I'm not THAT bad of a driver... lot of my relatives are surprised my car has survived that long...

My friends know better, and that's because their cars have been replaced multiple times...

EDIT; Sadly, I thought about you when I was looking at this, I remember you offered me a small portion of your garage to store few things, then I thought "what if I could store it at his place, and rebuild it there on the weekends..." then I thought "How the hell would I get this back from New York when I just got back from my paid vacation... less than 72 hours ago"

Then I figured, I would just let this once in a life time deal for a wrecked fit for that cheap to just slip away and hope it appears again in my lifetime.

You don't have to be a bad driver to have stuff happen to you. You can get rear ended. have a blowout during a corner, all sorts of possibilities that don't take your driving skills into account that much. My garage is much more full of crap than it was earlier. I could easily find a place for bikes, but adding another car would take some work.
One of these days, once I get my house somewhat dialed in, I want to get a fun car. I'm leaning towards a first gen Impreza with a WRX or Sti swap, but a swapped 240sx could be fun too, an 88-90 Civic with a GSR motor could be exciting, or an original mini cooper with a honda swap. Light weight plus decent power = Whooo Hoo!!

You got my idea =D

Can't wait till I'm there, another year or so <3

Interest is killing me on these credit cards, like I pay a lot, then 1/4th of it comes back as interest... argh!...

but I want to work into getting a Fit sport engine onto a go-kart with paddle shifters, I think that's pretty cool =D

Why does everyone assume it's me ;_;

when I total my car, I'm using it for parts if the insurance company will let me have what's left of it.

it's not that bad... still under control.

Only the san francisco one was bad, and I ended up not driving after my almost hit/miss with Ciburri... I didn't want to get into an accident, and when I noticed that my visiion was going, I stopped my driving, and let my bro take the wheel... *sigh*

at least I know my limits and know when to step down =P
