Okay, so everybody screws up, and this time it's my mistake. I'm looking for a clear lens for the driver's side of a GD3 headlamp. I painted the headlight bezels the other night, and as the night got colder and later, I was rushed by the fiancee to get home and got mad. Without waiting on the paint to dry completely, I threw the headlamp back together and installed. What I thought was just moisture from the paint drying on the headlamp; turned out to be some chemical mixed in the paint that was released and it wound up making the clear part of the headlamp FUBAR. I don't really need the entire assembly, just the lens that covers the assembly if anyone might have one. I know it's a shot in the dark. I live in Alabama and don't mind paying shipping. Thanks for any responses

 

could you try buffing it out?

 

i tried to buff it out with a 2000 grit sand paper and a rubbing compound....it just won't clear out. I work with lots of different materials, but aluminum and plastics are NOT my specialty!

 

it could be on the inside u could take your lights apart and clean the inside of the lens..

 

That's where it's at is on the inside... It's something from when the paint dried after I put them back together, some chemical was released and nothing will remove it. Goo Gone, Majic Eraser, Acetone (will soften the clear plastic)... I tried it all. I think I may have found another headlight with a good lens to use though for pretty cheap.

 

What side? Kid by me totaled his fit and he has the right side i believe it's completely retro fitted but he was willing to sell it pretty cheap last time i spoke with him.
