Is this the EP3 emblem that doesn't quite fit the front grill snuggly? Or actually what is correct for the Fit/Jazz?

It is for the ep3. I don't think they ever made JDM emblems for the Honda fit.

In my opinion the emblem sits nice. If you do a seach I am sure you can find pictures of it on other fitfreaker's fits.

Yeah there is no existing Type-R emblem for the fit. You just have to center the EP3 emblem.
