So someone offered me 5zigen pro n1 racing rims in trade for my circuit 8s. Are these any better than rotas? I know 5zigen is made in japan, but are they cheap?

5Zigen are a nice wheel, however are these 5Zigen Black Racing Pro N1? Because those are on essentially the same level as Rotas, maybe a bit nicer.

Um no Black Racing Wheels are nicer than rota's. Black racing is a wheel company in Japan that has made wheels for a while. The pro n1's were imported and sold by 5zigen in the US but they have long been discontinued and they are fairly old and rare now depending on the fitment you want. I have a set on my EG and love them. Great wheels. They are fairly light (not super light like a fordged wheel or anything) but comparable to 5zigens other wheels.

5zigen makes quality wheels but they seem to be going under or something because their wheels and getting harder to find. They are good quality.

To the OP can you help me find some good wheels for my S2K? I cannot spend the $3k on wheels like alot of S2000 owners nor do I want to dump that much into wheels. Let me know.

^Magna: I mean the Pro N1, with their being on the same level, they are replica Advan RG's. Quality wise, much superior.

And I can look for wheels for the S2k, tbh 5x114 are what I'm better at finding haha. PM if there's anything you really want or do not. IE: IF you hate 5 spoke or mesh or something. Stagger vs. non stagger, etc. Oh, and a budget to follow.

Yeah I was talking about the pro n1 but I am not really clear on which came first the Advan RG or the Pro n1. The pro n1's I have had for years and know they were first introduced in the late 90's but I am not sure when the original RG's were introduced and the Pro N1's look more like the newer RG-D design with the deeper lip. Finally what are you basing quality on? Price? I know advan makes a great wheel but like I said I love my Pro N1's and while they did cost less they have held up to years of DD on my civic.

Sadly Black Racing as a company is either gone or difficult to find info on. I will PM you some info on wheels I like but I can honestly say the pro n1/RG design is one I like very much.

Yeah like I said I know they make a great wheel but the price kills me. I am the kind of person that believes at a certain point all you are paying for is the name stamped on the wheel and you aren't seeing any better quality. Thanks for the help man!

^Whatever they want. If someone wants my advice on what to list it for, I try to place it just below what most are asking for, to assist in a quick sale.
