FS: SOCAL Yakima Bike/Snowboard rack
FS: SOCAL Yakima Bike/Snowboard rack
///SOLD///SOLD///SOLD///
$325.00
I pieced this rack together from members on this forum and bought new keys/locks for it. the bike part is called "sidewinder" and is nice because it will hold almost all sizes of bikes and you don't have to remove anything. I've used this with my bmx bike as well as my full suspension 7" travel bike without issues. You clamp it to the crank arm and lock it. Much better than having to remove the front wheel like other styles. The snowboard part was bought when I first started piecing this together and has never been unboxed except to take pictures right now. I've got keys locks for everything as well as "skeleton" key to remove the lock from the rack so you can swap or whatever.
So I'm selling this thing because my bike was on it and my wife drove it into a house awning at low speed, causing damage to the cars roof. No damage to the rack or my bike tho! I had already welded a 2" hitch to the fit when I bought it and have 2 other bike racks that go on it that I use more often than this one anyway. The fit is getting repaired under insurance and I just don't want to put this one back on and run the chance of it happening again.
All pictures posted are current and after the accident. I've since pulled it off the car so insurance can get started on fixing the roof.
You may see that the track for the bicycle tires over the drivers side has a very slight ripple right after where the front tire would go. Also there are 2 little aero pieces that clip on I have outlined in red that are missing from one of the legs.
