Consumer Reports used car guide - the Fit

Just picked up the CR used car buying guide. It lists the Honda Fit's reliability data from 2007-2015. It says the Fit has been a top used car choice for years and gives it a historical "Good Bet" rating. Interestingly, it gives year 2013 all full red dot (very good) values for every trouble spot category including paint/trim, which I thought would be rated poorly. Engine, transmission, and suspension were rated very good across the board for all years. Same results for the Used Car Verdict. In comparison, the Ford Fiesta reliability data was rated full black dots (much worse than average) for its Used Car verdicts. Overall a good survey report for the Fit.

My 2012 Fit's paint has held up quite well.

Eventually I'll polish it, take the swirls out & wow passers-by with my shiny orange mini-minivan.

They may as well call our Fits "minivans," as there ain't nothing "mini" about minivans.....only "minivan" my Mrs and I ever owned was more like a microvan, or a "tall wagon," as they called it at the time, iirc... Eagle Summit Wagon (rebadged Mitsu RVR/ Colt Vista Wagon).....was funky in it's own way, although quality left a bit to be desired...glad to see Fits are regarded well by CR and many others...I absolutely love my gently used 2015 Fit LX w/ 6 spd MT....Progress RSB installed, great fun for the $$$

1992 Mitsubishi Expo LRV

We too owned a '92 Mitsubishi Expo LRV 5-Speed as seen above, which was just like your Eagle Summit and the Colt Vista. I think it shall always be our favorite family car. Drove it for 265,000 Miles over 17 Years with almost immaculate reliability and economy, and it took us everywhere. It finally just wore out.

Yeah, I'd hardly call the Fit a van of any kind.
