JDM RS Mugen Front end conversion

In for this.
As for AJR....I'll never buy from them again either. They & THMotorsports were the worst companies I've dealt with in this industry. However, I get great pricing from a different semi local shop, so I try to use them as often as possible.

Yep. Moving on... Lol!
Ive decided to put orange reflectors in the headlights. I dont think it looks bad plus i dont want to get trouble for not having them.
Heres an example, although mine will be black.

^thanks! The mugen lip is a little less than that where i got it. But i also had to buy all that other stuff on the list, its far from being bolt on lol.
Made some more progress today, headlights are cleaned, polished inside and out, clear bra film, and paint satin black to resemble RS headlights. Retrofit and reflector will be done after the conversion is completed.

Also, have the foglights which have been wrapped with 2 layers of film. And since im going full jdm i also bought some real JDM plates.
Yokohama 538, all lucky numbers in japanese culture. Plus ..55 is cool cause i like to put 55 at the end of all my usernames lol!

just want to know what process you took when you worked on the headlights to get them black.
Did you just cook it in the oven to open the frame, disassemble, and went to town with a spay can?
Also is retrofitting projectors a difficult job?
there's a guy in Indonesia that's selling custom headlights for about $1150USD + shipping - are you saving much doing it yourself?

Thank you both of you, things will be a little slow until the parts arrive from japan. Ill keep you guys updated on everything that happens in the meantime through.
MODULO, i used a heat gun this time cause my wife doesnt like me using the oven for headlights. It wasnt that hard, did take more prying and time than with the oven but doesnt matter.
Got a friend to do the paint cause i didn't want to mess it up. Really love the black vs chrome.
Retrofitting is difficult with my current projectors, but its so worth the output improvement vs stock. Because of the timeline of events however, i wont be able to retrofit the headlights until well after the conversion is done.
Thanks for the link, but i will save so much by keeping my current projectors. Plus the output of the lexus ls460s is probably impossible to beat with aftermarket projectors.

Having an issue with the installer. Most likely will have to reschedule for early January. I wont be able to check out the progress in person but i will try to get regular picture updates from the installer throughout the process.

Been slow going, but by this time next week ill finally be able to see all the parts in person and ill try to take lots of detailed pics of all the parts. By this time in a month from now the installation will be well underway
this waiting has been killing me.
