Mopar family! It's so much fun to go over and see Jimmy make a pure custom system. He hand made the Y that connects both mufflers. PS that's Jimmy's son Jimmy's young but not that young, lol
Thanks

Well today was a perfect day, 70-74. MzFit got a bath and her shoes shined.
Changed the filter and drained the trans. Did a drain and fill 1k miles ago but Honda's like the ATF changed. With the filter 3 qts.and it was just a smigglin below the hot mark.
Changed out the battery as you have to remove this with the tray and airfiter assembly. Just makes it easier to get to the clamp ring on the back side of the filter. The old battery was 10/10! And it's still cranks the car over but maintenance is replace before a repair, right.
Ten years ago this was just parts in Japan. I should have detailed under there but just wanted to get erdun without adding to the time schedule.

Had a low throttle miss then it would go away and come back. Pulled the plugs (NGK 6774) and they were done. Only around 25-30k on them? Kinda fast to burn the tips off.
The original struts, 88k mile rotors, another set of brake pads and new end links for the sway bar.
The struts where a challenge to remove. The upper nuts were seized. Had to remove the plastics in front of the windshield and use an impact, 19mm. That loosened up enough to use the 6mm allen wrench with a wrench. Then removed the sway bar end link. There is a brake sensor wire that has to be "gently" remove as not to break the sides off.
Now there's 2 ways to remove the bottom 2 bolts out of the strut. I did it not realizing that the driveshaft will come out of the transmission if you're not careful. And that is a chapter all by itself. To not make a headache out of this job, use a floor jack under the bottom ball joint and tie wire the top of the knuckle so it won't let the driveshaft come out. This is not the way you want to replace your strut. But if this does happen don't freak. It helps to look at where the dimple is on the drive shaft 32mm nut and remember its location. Get a floor jack and lift the whole knuckle assembly up and feel when that #$&@@! Lines up and it will push back in and straighten up.

When you're done take a deep breath and move all the tools to the other side.
This is what it looks like after the drive shaft is back in and the strut is bolted up. You can see in the picture the grease fitting for the sway bar end link. This is a Moog link and its twice the size of the oem and you can grease it!
And the ride is soooooo much better, I got use to the harshness of the worn out struts. And last thing, it's adviced to get a front end alignment. Which I'm doing tomorrow I'll let you know how far out it was.
MzFiT has been very very good to me!
Clear has been coming off for a while now and this weekend, it's looking like great weather. So yeah this is the original paint I bought 12 years ago for the wing and it matched perfect, but the oem paint has really faded so this will be interesting color match. 😋
