What did you do to the GD Fit today?

Oh ok, well we are also heading to a meet at Warwick Aiport in Warwick, NY which can't be too far from you. It's on Sunday May 22nd, let me know if you are interested and I'll send you the details!

Last week I went to the emissions place. And failed. Turns out that the EGR was blocked off when the turbo went in and turned off when it was tuned. Unbeknownst to me, had I just checked the OBD2 Bluetooth sensor that I have I would have known that I was going to fail emissions. I came back home and later figured everything out with Previc's help and got the block off. The low-speed jittering that my car used to suffer from went away almost completely. I went back to emissions the next day and almost had a heart attack when I got to the front of the line. In Arizona there are two lines: OBD2 only, and the full-blown OBD2 and sniffer on a dyno line. I went to the OBD2 only line since I knew that I would instantly fail in the sniffer line since I might not exactly have a catalytic converter anymore. I almost got moved into the sniffer line, but thankfully I was able to stay in the OBD2 only line. The guy testing my car really liked it and kept on complimenting me on my car. I passed, and was extremely happy. Then later I filled up and checked my oil level and fuel efficiency. Somehow I'm up to a little over 32mpg (8.8L/100kms). It's back up to pre-turbo levels and hopefully it stays up there.

And this is proof that disconnecting the EGR is a bad idea.. Cool to see it kinda prove out.
I run a random technology cat on my non daily toy, all the power and it passes with room to spare on gas content.. Gotta like that..

Installed one 1.25" wheel spacer. Only one today because I need to cut the rest of the fiber glass and metal fenders.
Clean above shot
Will install my drilled rotors on later, repaint my calipers back to a glossy black and get new excel g or tokico blue shocks.
Love how it sits flush with the fender.
Exposed tires, who cares I like the look

Today was general maintenance for me. New front pads/rotors. The old ones were factory original and lasted 113k+ miles. What a pain - so much rust keeping everything stuck together.
What kind of meet is there going on in Warwick? I may have to stop by if I'm free on that weekend. Either my '08 Fit or my '79 Civic.

Did the valve adjustment on the GD today with my friend's guidance. Only #2 & #3 intake were out of spec, the rest were ok.
Gonna do an oil change tomorrow and buy a new oem battery then the Fit will come out of hibernation after a year. Yay!

Finished cutting the other fiber glass fenders, still needs metal fenders cut but this will do for now. Installed all four wheel spacers, cleaned the fit up and brought it to a monthly car meet on Sunday's presented by prestige alliance off of i10 and blalock I think, not sure but was not far from memorial. Would love to see more Fits but like always, I'm the only one still.
That DA
Clean and simple
Was cool to see these hondas
Booty shot of flares with wheel spacers, planning adding 2pc black air diversion diffusers.
Made friends with this guy with the civic

@F-it good: I THINK I may have been to that location before a couple of years ago. If I remember right there is a Freebird's World Burrito near that Academy in the background.
Anyway... Not too much action going on here for the GD3. Just the usual autocross, wash (every other week, sits in garage mostly), and occasionally taking it out to play Ingress.
I still need to raise it up on a lift at work and snap pictures of the rear disc conversion. May just do that when I rotate tires...

There were so many cars at the meet, I didn't take photos of all of them, I just liked a few. There were lots of fancy bagged out cars but I preferred the little guys with cars that expressed them.
