When I started my current position, I was given a blackberry with an unlimited data plan, so I decided I could read FitFreak posts wherever I go. Everything worked fine, for the most part (some things gave me trouble, like when I'd respond with a quote, I'd run out of room to type).

I recently got a new blackberry, and I can log in to the site and access parts that require me to be logged in, such as the moderator forums and private messages. pages will say "Welcome LizardKing" on them. However, whenever I go to the User CP, it tells me every time that I'm not logged in and that I need to log in to view that page. It can't be a cookie issue, as other pages see me as logged in. Anyone know what's going on?

 

is the blackberry running windows mobile? if it is then thats weird cuz I get on the site with my palm treo running windows mobile all the time and the only thing i've noticed i cant use are the smiley buttons when posting.

 

No, not windows mobile, just the blackberry/cingular/internet browser that comes with the 8800 (they all seem to really be the same application).

 

download Opera mini your BlackBerry, it runs a lot better than the built in browser

 

I fixed the problem: On a page that showed me as logged in, I logged out, then logged in again. Everything is working now.

I will check out Opera mini.

 

You should still download and run Opera Mini on your Pearl. It loads webpages as close as possible to the real pages rather than the BB Browser which struggles on web pages that aren't designed for WAP browsers.

 

I figured out the problem: for the purposes of cookies, fitfreak.net is not the same site as www.fitfreak.net. I was trying to view my control panel at fitfreak.net, but logging into www.fitfreak.net. Visiting www.fitfreak.net instead of fitfreak.net solved all the problems.
