Rules for Signitures

Rules for Signitures
I think there should be some rules, or better rules for peoples Signatures. I have no problem with people having them it just gets old when some of them are a page long and have huge pictures. These are some rules from another site I'm on and think there pretty good. I put what I was most interested in seeing in bold.
"Image size must be 450x200 or less and under 50k in size. No animated images. No quotes. No links. Maximum of 3 lines of text and an image OR 6 lines of text with no image. Violating this rule once and you will be warned. The second violation will result in losing your signature privileges."

i am sure you have heard this before, but you can disable seeing sigs. I am a mod/admin in other forums where there are rules as well. but it seems simple to just disable them yourself.
Visible Post Elements
You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.Show Signatures
Show Avatars

I knew some one was going to say that, thats why I said I have no problem with them. I just dont see the point of having one with a huge pic and a paragraph about what they have done to there car.

Dude, I am right there with you in a way. The xxxxxl pics do need to go....no if ands or buts.
I think they should use this certain plug in on these forums. In a gaming forum i mod/admin we can add our comp specs and it adds a little icon below our rep points, you click it and it shows what gear we have in our computers. This would be a sweeeeet plug in for these forums.
my sig is about $$ and how i want to make it

I resize peoples pics as much as I can, or I PM them telling them to resize. They normally change the pic to the regular size after.
I cant spot everyone.
Not being biased, I think my size sig is the max size for pics.

haha calm down man, the admins and mods have to deal with alot of stuff on a day to day basis. they have to make judgements on things like that, i agree your sig could have been smaller. resizing an image is not hard these days with websites like photobucket and imageshack. if you want me to make a sig for you, just send me your favorite picture and ill make one for you, but it doesnt do any good getting mad at the mods/admins.

Craig, Im not reading any of that as its too much to read.
Your sig was too big, point blank. If you didnt post in this thread I wouldnt have seen it and wouldnt have taken action.
And since you posted this;
"Shh!
Don't get me in trouble! "
You obviously knew your sig was way too big.
It wasnt the fact that your pics were 600x600. You had 3 of them though.

DO NOT ASS-U-ME THAT I DID!
I've pared back my sig links to try to please.
Being that I, myself, am a stickler for rules, just know that I was obeying all posted rules that I read.
The third pic was a rotating picture, one that piqued interest in Pittsburgh's landscapes.
If I want to post my grill and engine compartment, I may try to get both into one pic, or just screw it all together.
My attitude is less than positive.
I'd hate to have all my posted pictures disappear, like the ones that are DIYs.
Have a good day, if you want to.
Later...
P.S. If you want to get rid of junk, get rid of the smilies!
I'm saving FF band width by deleting my posts and pictures. You're welcome.

I optimized my sig-pic file size for fast loading, thowing out my respect for the 56K crew yo!
Rays Sig = 119649 bytes
Kelsodeez Sig = 55269 bytes
My Sig = 29763 bytes
Other than that I like my sig size... yah for FitFreak freedom of signatures! It is what makes this a great forum to subscribe too!
