Smile Spell Check please...

I would like to think that part of posting is to be able to communicate/exchange/express ideas and opinions clearly. It becomes very challenging at times (bordering on annoying at times), when one has to decipher a posted message.

By no means am I trying to be righteous here. Just trying to bring up a point. Grammar check would be too much to ask and could be counter productive to a casual atmosphere. I'd settle for a spell check utility with suggested options if possible. Thanks!

What browser are you using? I only ask because Chrome (and firefox AFAIK, but correct me if I'm wrong) has spell check built in.

I use Firefox... But that has nothing to do with (misspelled) posts I read, only posts I make.

No, no...

Google Chrome doesn't deal with misspelled words that have already been posted.

Chrome will underline text it thinks you are misspelling as you type them into blog/forum posts, etc.

I thought that's what I just said Goobs... Built-in spell check has nothing to do with posts already posted, just what you and I type when posting...

If there was a spell check with options tied to the forum then it might help other posters clean up before posting...

Haha this thread makes me think of a few users in particular, or just one.

A Minor Peeve

A minor pet peeve for me is people who refer to "rpm's & mpg's", not understanding that rpm = "revolutions per minute", and mpg = "miles per gallon"
