TW: Skunk2 Cat-back exhaust 60mm for GD3 for something quieter

Thinking of trading or possibly selling my GD3 Skunk2 60mm cat back exhaust with silencer for something quieter. I will only trade for a bolt on system that was originally manufactured for the GD3 fit. I also might consider trading or selling the axle back muffler without the B pipe. Let me know what you have. i'll post some pics in the next couple of days. Local only please.

Thanks!

-complete cat back system with muffler and silencer $240.00

-axle back muffler with silencer only $120.00

***Thanks for checking this thread out but I'm gonna keep the exhaust and try adding an extra resonator.

That's an awesome deal if they were! Wish I knew when I bought mine. Got my wife a new car last October and I took her Fit and started to modify (before i knew about Fit Freak) so I'm pretty new to the Fit scene so I apologize in advance and just want to get something quieter that is comparable. I'm leaning towards trading just the rear section for something bigger and quieter...not trying to make money off of it. I'll do some more research on the price and if they are still going for $200 then I will take the price down and forget the selling part because it wouldn't be worth it for me to sell.

They were offering them @ $200 for a blow out. sale is over, so that price is gone.

The Skunk mid-pipe will not work with other muffler/axle backs and vice-versa, FWIW.

Exactly.. I'm thinking of having a muffler shop cut off the muffler and retaining the Skunk2 flange for my new muffler. The Skunk2 muffler can then be rewelded to the factory flange to fit stock/factory B pipe or whatever else type of B pipe of his or her liking. Sorry, kinda complicated...I tend to that a lot...never satisfied...lol.

Just kind of a thought and may not make a change at all. My dilemna is the exhaust is a little too loud for me sometimes without the silencer and don't care for the look of it...and with the silencer it feels a little more restricted at highway speeds and higher RPMs. The silencer pipe diameter is 1 1/2 inches and the rest of the piping is 60mm or very close to 2 1/2 inches so it just seems to defeat the purpose of having an exhaust. I get about 5 whp with the exhaust but then with the silencer probably give back 2 whp? I can't give 2 whp back...it's so much work to get that in a Fit!...haha

order one of these and have it welded into your exhaust.

Vibrant 1790 Bottle Style Resonator : Amazon.com : Automotive
That was my first idea but begin to have doubts that it would make enough difference and where the extra resonator will go. A good muffler shop could probably make it work. Maybe I'll revisit this idea. Thanks for the advice Nighthawk.
