i'll be at this event. it's for a good cause, and my friend is the host of it. it's pretty far, but these meets always have good turnouts.
i'll be there by 6 or 6:30pm

i'm thinking about this idea...

meet up at a certain spot to look at each other's fits, go eat, and then cruise somewhere to take pics. if any of you guys are photographers, whether it'd be amateur, hobbyists, etc., then that'd be great for us. if not, we'd just have to bring out the point&shoot cameras.

 

Im so down for this...My friend could snap some pics, thats his hobbie. I say we do it sometime in January....

^^ Thanks LOZA! Lets spread the word. I think this could be huge. Austin is as "central" as central gets. Everyone in Texas could drive there in a matter of a few hours at worst. The only factor is what date. I'll commit to a date once the NASA 2008 Event Schedule is posted. That way I'll know I'm clear to go to Austin.

NASA stands for National Auto Sports Association similar to the SCCA. They have High Performance Drivers Education (HPDE) at the road course close to where I live. Once the schedule is posted then I will know when I'm able to attend the Texas Fit Meet 2008.

If I were to just throw out a date for this meet to take place then not everyone will be able to attend. If I get info from everyone interested and they tell me that they can take off work for a certain day or that they will be free between a certain time frame then I could get more people to show up.

Well yeah! When I said that some might have to work, I meant the ones who are in the medical field or waiting tables to pay for college. I'm trying to get some feedback on which Saturday it should be.
