Texas Fit Meet: Vol. 6

Texas Fit Meet: Vol. 6

WHEN: Sunday, February 13th, 2011

WHERE to meet: Pearland Town Center (11200 Broadway - Pearland, TX 77584)

TIME of Meet: 11:00 AM

PLAN: We meet up in the back parking lot of the Town Center. Hang out for about an hour for pictures and wait for any people who are late. Then we will head south to Brazos River County Park for the actual BBQ. After we eat, socialize, and snap pictures we will go hit up a couple of county roads.

One of the roads (CR25) gives you a great view of Brazoria County's country side and the other (CR42) offers a similar, yet more wooded scenery, with several nice sweepers in it. Just a quick note though, the linked maps in the road names are not detailed enough show all of the turns and bends but is good enough to give you an idea.

If anyone still has an itch to hit some corners after the county road runs are over we can head over to MSR Houston and hit the kart track.

-Parking Lot and Park Rules-

1. No alcohol or drugs
2. No revving your engines
3. Keep music at a respectful level
4. Watch your speed entering and exiting parking lot
5. Throw your trash in the trash can
6. No street racing at the meet
7. No burn/peel outs
8. No speeding in the parking lot

-RULES for County Roads-

1. Avoid the on-coming lane as much as possible during cornering
2. Slow drivers/people scene viewing go to the back of the pack
3. Keep a reasonable distance between cars in case of animal avoidance
4. If you have a vehicle breakdown or flat during the run, honk your horn (if your horn does not work please do the Team America Secret Signal) to get our attention and safely pull over.

If the park thing is still up in the air, I vote for Planters Point. BBSP is only fun if you plan on walking for three hours.

The wagon should be up and running by then...

That is true...

Plus heading to Planter's Point will allow us to essentially make a lap around the county instead of heading to BBSP and having to figure out how to hit CR25 and CR48 without going way out of route or have long, overlapping routes. (Don't want to double back in other words)

somehow I missed this. This is actually the day after my birthday. I'll see if my brother is interested in going and perhaps I'll ride along with him. But I'm not driving the fit anymore because I'm trying to sell it. And I don't think bringing the cressida out would be fitting. *edit* (no pun intended)
