Hi, I'm Matt. I’m about to become the proud owner of a Vivid Blue M/T Fit Sport. I first have to wait for it to come back from the body shop (top corner on the drivers door was bent in during transportation). But I was wondering how many people are from the Chicago land area? And are they’re any get-to-gethers or meets?

Aurora here....There are about 5 or 6 more folks from the chicagoland area in this forum.

 

Aurora, Plainfield, that’s really close to me I‘m in New Lenox/Joliet area. Not sure how far Evanston is form me, but I’m glad I’m not 1 of 2 Fit owners from the Chicago area. If FITCCA doesn’t organize anything and we have enough members in the Chicago land area we could have a meet of our own. Granted it might be anything like a FITCCA organized event but at least it’s a meet.

 

i'm near gurnee. i barely see enough fits around here to require a meet

I've got a friend that lives in Antioch, and if Gurnee is anything like Antioch, the rebel flag flying pick-up trucks greatly out number the amount of fits.

haha, that sounds pretty close. though i think gurnee is more of the "i'm-thug-with-a-kickin'-stereo" type.

 

Or do you mean "I'm a white guy who thinks he's a thug while listening to Eminem on my kickn' stereo in a rust bucket ford fiesta or Geo metro" (Oddly enough the song pretty fly for a white guy is playing in my head)

 

You guys that have Fits on order, the first thing you need to buy when it arrives is the dead pedal from Zeta Products. Makes a huge difference. Anyone changing wheels, stereo, etc.?

 

I'm getting a m/t so I don't know why I would want a dead pedal but I'll def keep it in mind. I'm kinda going between getting a cat back exhaust (skunk2 or Mugen) or getting an new head unit (Pioneer DEH-P7900BT), unless any one else has any better suggestions. But the only thing I do know is that all my friends are going to annoy me until I teach them stick.

EDIT: I think I'll add HKS to my cat back list.

I saw a black sport Fit with gold wheels today on Golf Rd in Niles today. I see more and more Fits everyday!

I already swapped out my wheels and stereo. Let me know if you locals have any questions.

Chucho I've seen some of your pics on the VBP thread (or VPB thread, can't quite remember). Are the superman graphics vinyl or paint?

 

I've seen so many fits out where I live and they keep growing. Sadly I don't see any of them modded.

 

I just saw a white sport with HIDs last night on Lincoln.

 

can i have your stockers? i'm gonna paint my rims in lew of buying new ones and i'd like to have two sets in case i **** up / so i can keep driving while the paint dries and such.
