OK peeps, sunday bright and early there is a hot air balloon launch on antelope island

i really want to leave my place shortly after 6 ish, ithink it'll take about 45 min to get to the island and if there is a line to get in i want to be prepaired, they launch at 7:30 and don't wait for anyone, especially just people that wanna watch. i don't know if i'll have a passenger quite yet, but i don't want to get up there and be late and not get the pics i want

ok and i'm going out to the midnights tonight at 11 if anyone wants to watch with me, also i do work tomorrow if anyone needs parts

and last if you want to bbq on monday (weather permitting) post up and we'll put something together, even if it's at a park to not scare anyone away (i think newbee's are afraid to stop by my place)

 

dont know if i can drag my ass out of bed that early after a long night if you know what i mean. but i will try and monday sounds good to me.

i drove out there to see what it's all about, and to see what the venue (sp) and parking is like, wow there were about 300 people out there and 40 something booths consisting of tons of food booths to temp tattoos and they were selling kites and posters.
i think it shouldnt be too crowded and i think i found a good place to park for a fit pic and balloon launch in mind
i know i am going and i think moabrat will be there withn his family and my buddy mark from work and his girlfriend, i think patrick is bringing his girlfriend and i asked our secretary at work to come but she said she'd let me know (that means no in girl talk) my brother wants to come out with us with his three kids (15,9,7) -here are a couple cell phone pics i took tonight

i'm leaving my place at 6:10am be here or meet there - oh and they said they launched at 6m last night , but did not this morning because of winds, they don't promise a launch but there is quite a bit o stuff to see out there(i saw 40 head of buffalo) and i will get a temp tattoo tomorrow on my neck

My family is planing on leaving at 6 or 6:15. We can't stay all day but the morning should be really fun!

I polished and waxed the Fit so we could put our new mask on. That thing was quite a wrestling match but with my wife's help we muscled it in place. Sure looks good. Hope having the hang of it makes it easier next time, whew.

It is. It's parked in front of my father in-law's hanger. It looks right at home with the planes.

Today was pretty fun at the Balloon Festival. They actually got off the ground in spite of the windy weather. Everyone in the Utah crew I got to meet was nice. Very mellow and friendly. Thanks for the invite. Here are a few pics from today:
