Hey GearFunk,
Is your Fit the red GE8? I saw the autocross going on in July at the Davis County Fair parking lot on a Saturday and dropped in and watched for a bit. I was talking to a guy (older guy) who owns a newer green Camaro that he autocrosses. We got talking as we watched the runs and I mentioned that I have a Fit. He said there's a guy who autox's a Fit, its in the parking lot out back. So, before I left, I was checking it out, took a bunch of pictures.

Lots of questions for you about your Fit and autocrossing it. I have a 2011 Dark Grey Fit Sport with manual trans. It's all stock except I have 16x7 Kosei RT Sport LT wheels that are +33mm. They're lighter than stock and I swapped the stock 185/55/16 Dunlops on them. Looks like you were running 15x7 Enkei's? Your car looked awesome and I hear autocrosses really well.

I've owned the car for 2 years this coming December. I had a 2002 WRX with BC Coilovers, 17x9's with 245/40/17's and Cobb Stage 2 engine mods. I miss the performance of that car, but I bought the Fit because I drive from Farmington to Draper for work every day. I'm always toying with the idea of changing cars, but its a pretty big issue spending money because my wife is really good with our money and we have 4 boys who play sports and are all in school, so she's not wanting to agree that I buy a new 2015 Mustang Ecoboost Perf Pack or 2015 WRX. Heck, even selling the Fit and getting a car of the same value doesn't make sense because of the tax/registration everytime you buy a car. Soooo, basically, I'm really looking for a way to get more enjoyment out of the Fit to keep life costs down and fun factor up.
Anyway, I know the Fit has a lot going for it for a fun, good handling car, its light, good steering feel/response and its a Honda. I know putting engine bolt ons won't do much besides make noise, but I know suspension bits can really improve the car's overall handling and experience.

Chris

Congrats on your SCCA National Trophy. Do you mind sharing your setup, or do you have a build thread?
