Fit accident #2.. vs. 08 civic

Well, here we go again. My fit has been in another front end collision. At least it wasn't my fault this time.

Was on my way home, almost there (isn't that always the case? :P) and i come around this small turn, over a speed bump and i see a pair of lights coming at me. Its pouring rain and i can see that she's not on her side of the road anymore. I dive to the shoulder (grass on my pass tire to prove it) and it wasn't enough. Pics will explain the rest. My car is only a few feet from point of impact. Officer confirmed this.

Pics:
(sorry, cell phone only thing we had at the time)

As long as everyone's OK.

that sucks matt. your car looked good at the meet too. well it looks like hondas are predictable when you hit the drivers side nose. i like how both hondas have the same rim bent in. sorry man. so i guess you wont be meeting with us any time soon? dumb old lady. i think the civic was jealous.

the lady that hit me had owned that 08 civic for 2 weeks, didn't even have her plates yet.

The hit was intense, i dove for the small shoulder and she spun me into that gate. thankfully it was already open or there would be rear damage as well.

A side note, curtain airbags sting your face.

For the locals, I'll attend meets but it will probably be in the supra until this mess is sorted out.

edit: also, the lady in the yellow jacket wasn't the one that hit me, that's my mom. We live just a couple blocks away. Infact, I could have walked through that gate, through some brush, into my neighborhood.

jeez but cant say i'm not surprised. the rain that's been hitting here sucks. i'm not used to driving in it compared to our unusually long period of dryness

Matt - dang it! So sorry that you have to go through this a second time. It looks pretty bad to the car but thank goodness you were able to walk away with no damage to you! Hope you can get it repaired and back on the road soon - there is nothing prettier than the VBP Fit.

Cat :x

Alright, her insurance is covering the entire cost of the repair bill.

Current estimate is $7321.57 (with tax, labor, paint, etc)

my car's current value is about 15k w/ 46k miles.

If the cost of repairs reach that amount they will probably total it out.

Which sucks as I still owe 16k on it.
